Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I couldn't find a definitive answer.

The update history for my truck is below. Since March '22 I've been getting pretty regular updates and it seems like all is working well now. However, when comparing to the spreadsheet/list of updates there are some I've never gotten (or at least never been notified of), such as 22-PU1009-PPO-SI & 23-PU0327-DSP-AMP (I have B&O unleashed) which came out in July 23. Am I missing them, are they rolled into other updates, or perhaps ford pass/sync just doesn't notify me? Just trying to understand. Thanks in advance:

Yes, updates can install out of the exact sequence. The ones you are asking about in particular can install at any time, as those are minor updates to modules that don't cause config issues if they are updated out of order. What you don't want to install too out of sequence are APIM, GWM and TCU updates.

The ones you have not gotten are not rolled into another update. PU1009 and PU0327 are PCM and DSP updates that may still be pending. With your VIN, I can check later today from home is they are pending for your truck or not.

You can check the About Sync version on your truck display and roughly match it to the latest OTA update. There's also the VIN request thread where you can post your VIN and a member with FDRS can check to see what your most recent update was and if any are pending.

List of modules pending updates is below:

Ford F-150 Is it normal for some updates to be skipped/missed? 1698067555929

For anyone that wants a VIN check, please post it in the VIN look up thread stickied in this section. If I have to bounce around different threads, your request may got lost in the sauce. Also, it is just easier for me to just do it all on one thread.

You are lucky in being able to get IPC updates OTA. You got an update that I still haven't gotten yet for the owner's manual.

Based on my experience updating with FDRS some updates do get rolled into next version, but not always. It really depends on the files being updated. I did skip over a couple of the APIM versions doing my manual updates. FDRS isn't the same as OTA though which tries to do updates in smaller chunks.

I don't know what all your listed updates are but the door modules were for heated mirrors on mine. Not critical just a bug fix. Looks like rest of your updates in FDRS are the same.

DSP updates are supposed to fix the static and popping audio issues some have experienced.

If it bothers you having some out of date bug fixes then suggest signing up for Rugedraw Mongoose cable borrowing. Otherwise if truck is working fine you really are not missing out on anything important. Just my 2¢.

Thanks. It doesn't bother me per se having some out of date fixes. It's a mix of curiosity and wanting to verify I'm not missing anything meaningful. I haven't had issues with static/popping for instance, but I am interested in the WACM update in hopes that it improves the wireless charger from totally useless to average/slow :)

I also worry that an update may introduce issues, so not getting one may be a good thing. I just found it strange that with all the updates they've made- some I get quickly, some slowly, some never at all. My truck has been pretty solid thus far thankfully, once I got past the original "Job 1 trucks not getting updated" it seems to keep up very well.

In that case if it ain't broke don't fix it. :)

If you have BC or adaptive cruise then future updates will possibly improve that but I'm not worried about it until I see people posting how good it is on here.
