MADS is on. No difference. As a test while idling at a light, I engage cruise control and the comma turns on and obviously says "Release brake to engage". When I release brake and reapply brake, then comma disengages, so the signal to the brakes is there, but under normal driving, it won't disengage. Any other setting or model to try, or should I try 4.0?

I don’t think I understand what the real problem is.

I remember seeing an option to disengage when pressing brake. You prolly need to turn that option on.
Can't find that option. There is one for disengaging Comma when accelerator is pressed (which I use sometimes) but that doesn't work yet for me using 5.0.

Under 2.1 with MADS on, pressing the brake pedal disengaged cruise control. I cannot get that to function under 5.

Are you saying when you press the brake pedal, the vehicle keeps accelerating with the cruise still trying to control?

Real-world scenario under 2.1

1. Driving on a surface street at 35 mph. I engage Comma by pressing cruise control on steering wheel. Comma lights up and chimes. It is in control at 35 MPH. Feet are off the pedals and hands-free.

2. Upon coming up to a traffic light, I press on brake. Comma disengages with chime and lights turn off. I am in full control.

Real-world scenario under 5.0: Driving on a surface street at 35 mph. I engage Comma by pressing cruise control on steering wheel. Comma lights up and chimes. It is in control at 35 MPH. Feet are off the pedals and hands-free. (Same as 2.1)

Upon coming up to a traffic light, I press on brake. Nothing happens. Comma remains engaged.

you have to be more explicit.

steering stays engaged, gas stays engaged, or both stay engaged?

Did a bit more driving today. Steering is very smooth and capable. It appears to be consistently favoring the inside of moderate turns at 60mph. Is there any tuning to account for this or is it inherent to the model?

Lane changes are incredible now. Not sure when this changed but before on 2.1 Lane changes only worked well on straight segments. On 5.0 it can handle lane changes across complex curves and esses.

Woke up to a 5.0 beta update. Now every time I turn on the cruise (throttle) the comma says the speed assist requires activation and to manually set the max speed above 80 mph.
I have to do that every time it gets disabled. Like when hitting the brake. Other than annoying, it’s not a big deal if you are in traffic because the truck is pacing the car in front of me. But if I’m first the truck takes off like it’s on fire.
Have the speed limit assist set to

assist
Vision based
Value
+ 5 mph.

this is a new sunny feature. Just turn it off if you don’t like it.

I understand it’s a new feature, and that it’s a beta release. But it worked great Thursday evening and all day Friday. Then this morning there was an update and now it only works if you set the cruise faster than 80mph every time you turn on the cruise.
If I’m in a 45 mph zone, trucks doing north of 60 before I get the cruise up to 80 and back down again. And if I have to hit the brakes, I have to do it again.

I’m assuming that’s a bug and I’m just reporting it.

unless there’s another place I should be reporting bugs??

best pic I can get at night
