Had to reset the Comma unit for this to install. It doesn't want detect the truck, Doesn't seem to be any library of vehicle loaded to pick from manually. BluePilot itself says it will not start because the truck isn't started. I've cycled the truck twice, same thing. I also wiped the comma again and reinstalled. All the same.

It’s with a sad heart I am not going to be lurking here anymore….I decided to trade in my ‘23 150 for a super duty. My 10klbs trailer was causing too many white knuckling drives for me.

I can pull 26k with my new platinum 250. The funny part is you think you’d have the same, or better features pack vs package. NOPE. I had to go platinum to keep the backup assist, grrrr

not that my back doesn’t thank me, these massaging seats…..

That said, my comma device is for sale. DM me if you’re interested. I have the Q4 harness and the comma 3x hardware. The windshield bracket wasn’t able to be removed from the 150 but you can easily print out the ones that have been in this thread if you need.

There appears to be a nationwide Azure outage affecting Comma and github servers. Updating appears to be impossible at the moment.

I just updated to 5.0. Works great. I assume I should still choose FofF Liquid Crystal for the model? It works. Everything seems in great working order. It did take a very long time to download.

the download times are because azure is still not completely restored.

FoF is still my favorite model, but The Cool People v3 is getting lots of love too

I tried again after 3PM Central time and it is working. So far much better than the 4.0!

Few things:

Down in the Vehicle section, Wouldn't auto-recognize my truck, But I was able to pick it out of a list this time.

In Toggles, There is no vehicle listed and its all greyed out so I cant choose anything.

I have a few settings that I was using in 4.0 that are now greyed out in 5.0 saying "MADS Limited brand is not allowed." Not sure what that means.

Overall, Pretty solid for a Beta!

after you force your vehicle selection, do a full reboot of the device and make sure the car is turned off, then you can probably set the additional toggles.

Thanks! That fixed the auto-detect problem. Still says MADS limited brand is not allowed though. I'm specifically looking to disable to Unified Engagement mode.

Question on BluePilot in General. When you have cruise OFF and HandsFree OFF and Cruise is still enabled, I still feel small inputs given to the steering wheel. Its not steering, but you feel little inputs now and again. Also on the gas or brakes, I cant tell. It seems the decel when you take your foot off the gas is much more aggressive with cruise enabled vs cruise disabled.

Any thoughts on that? It did that on 4.0 too.

Thanks Again

Cruise can't be off and enabled. Please try to restate the question in a manner I can better understand.

It is confusing, I agree. Cruise control on the F-150 doesn't work until you enable it by pressing the Red button. Its like Cruise system on/off. Cruise and lane centering isn't on, just enabled.

Cruise is set, resumed and canceled by the buttons in Orange.

Lane centering / Bluecruise is set by the Blue button.

As soon as I hit the red button, I start feeling small inputs to the steering wheel and there is an aggressive decel when you take your foot off the gas. I believe there is also a grey border on the Comma.

With " Unified Engagement mode " on, which is on by default, Pressing the Blue or Orange buttons will turn on comma auto steering, but only the blue button will shut auto steering off.

With " Unified Engagement mode " off, Only the Blue button turns on and off auto steering and only the Orange buttons turn on and off the cruise.

So right now, with " Unified Engagement mode " on, If I want to use only the cruise control, I press the set+ Orange button to set my speed which is setting the cruise and turning on the auto steering. Then I need to press the Blue button to shut off the autosteering.

This is how it is designed to work. As soon as you turn on cruise, the lateral controls engage (with unified mode on).

So is your problem that you can't turn MADS off?
