Do you anticipate any significant advantages to 4 over 3x and do you believe 3x will lose any support?

the 4 has better cooling, so in theory it can run bigger models. I suspect Comma will eventually get tired of supporting two UIs and kill off the 3X. They supported the Comma3 for four years after the 3x came out, but it had the same UI, so I'm not sure. They only committed to 1 year of keeping the 3X current. We will do our best to keep BluePilot up to date and running on the 3X.

I would start with 4.0. BP 5 is in beta and since you are new to the platform, don’t need to get side tracked by bugs.

Unfortunatley no. Comma publishes almost no release notes. The best you can do is check out the sunny pilot discord and forum, they have some channels dedicated to discussions.

Do you have a recommendation for the F-150's running the 5.0 Beta? I tried the default model for the 5.0 and the Liquid Crystal. Both ping pong.

you might not be able to eliminate all ping pong without getting into the tuning menu, but find the model with the least amount to start with before you tune.

I’ve heard good things about Nevada.

So I just installed BP5.0 last night. This morning I woke up and now I have camera malfunction. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no fix. My last resort is try to flash the comma 3x but I need to wait until i get home to try. Anyone have this issue? I hope my comma isnt dead dead.

Did you drive it any after the install to see if the camera malfunction appeared right away?

No i did not. I installed it and went to bed. This morning when I started the truck I got the error. I just tried to see the camera preview and twice the camera started but other times it just says "camera starting" and nothing happens.

I should say I have been running just fine on 4.0. I tried the stock comma file and it was worse. So I updated to 5.0 and then this happened

There have been quite a few instances of corrupted installs of all forks ever since the Azure outage a few weeks ago really messed up the GitHub backend. I would do a flash and see if it cleans it up.

Well it seems the driver camera is dead. A reflash didn’t work. Let’s see how good comma is as I’m 2 weeks outside of the 1 year warranty. Would suck because I bought cables for all 3 of my cars

I believe Konik sells replacement cameras. A cell phone repair shop can do the swap.
