Hey guys.

I've always wanted one of these 'fat as your wrist' sort of racy looking steering wheels for my Limited. The stock steering wheel is really skinny, large, and old-fashioned looking. Those racy wheels just feel better to my hands.

I did buy one of the Tesfeel steering wheels off Amazon and quite liked the looks and build quality, but as I held it up in my Limited it had a Boy Racer look due to the colors that just didn't quite match the upscale feel & look of the Limited interior. Don't get me wrong, I like the Boy Racer look, but it was a poor match.

The Limited has Navy Blue leather, silver accents & flat CF. The Tesfeel had black leather, red accents & gloss CF.

Digging around everywhere trying to find the correct color combo it occurred to me to write an e-bay seller named 'summber' that was selling steering wheels, and I was able to get him to build me exactly what I wanted: Flat CF, perforated Navy leather, the racy fat shape with the flat bottom, silver accents, heated, and no shifters (which thinking back, maybe I should have added).

It was $484, compared to about $350 for the Tesfeel. I like to save money of course, but at only an extra $134 for custom, that seemed fair to me.

The seller just sent me the completed photo and it's now being shipped to me. It's not easy to see but it also has silver stitching. I'm pleased and think it'll look better once the OEM silver inlay is installed and it's combined with the rest of the interior in that dash area. Will update with another photo once I get it installed.

On another note, I consider this truck DONE. I'll probably upgrade the factory struts with a real 2.5" lift next year when the BF sales hit again but only to replace OEM worn struts. I do really love this truck and plan to keep it for MANY years.

Nice Limited as I have one as well. Looks like you have a slight lift on the front? If so, did you have issues with the CCD on the vehicle?

The details of everything I have done to the truck is listed in my signature, however you might not be able to view it in a phone app. The 2.5" leveling pucks effected my lane centering, until I adjusted the sensor (very easy by the way). However, I didn't even know these trucks had CCD (Continoiusly Controlled Damping)! I don't have any wires going to the damper as I removed them myself, so I'd guess that I don't.

I have wires going to what looks like, perhaps, dampers on my shocks front and back. If I understand you correctly, yours did not have wires, ie, no CCD or you removed the wires? In any case, my concern if I leveled my truck and disconnected the CCD effectively, I was wondering about any error codes or messages that might be triggered by doing so.

'22 F150 Limited in Star White.

I believe some '22s had adaptive steering as a deleted option because of parts shortages. Not sure about '21s. FWIW my Limited has it and it was a Feb '22 build.

My 22 is a job one, I actually had to add adaptive steering to move up the production queue. I would’ve much rather had a raptor wheel than adaptive steering.

Does anyone know what parts I'd need to buy to remove Adaptive Steering? Mine is a '21 with no deletes.

I had no idea about this honestly, first I've heard.

PS. This forum is such a resource of great guys that have a lot of combined knowledge and passion!
