I'm digging the fact Ford dropped the IWE's altogether on the dolled up Powerboost trim.

Although I'm amazed Ford is having issues after going to electric IWE. How do you insufficiently engage/disengage an IWE with a stepper motor? No reason to be anywhere in between. Crazy

To me it seems if these are an issue the fix would be to remove them entirely not replace with another that will likely fail again.

Just saw this TSB as well but looks like already posted. I am taking truck in soon and will mention this.

Quick read I'm wondering if you can do this yourself? Though the TSB mentions " Install a new IWE actuator assembly ".... so there are new parts, correct?

Seem to be a couple posts on this ongoing so copying my reply here as well.....

FYI I took my truck in. Was told they can't get the humming to occur therefore they cannot perform the TSB.

Guess I'm gonna have to try to get in there during the winter so the noise can be verified? That should be fun since there is no rhyme or reason as to when it will make the noise.

Little surprised as the TSB language seems to indicate to check the VIN. Doesn't say anything about verifying noise. Or is it always with a TSB that they have to verify the issue before performing the fix?

I could have the same issue but I cant really tell from video. There is a reddit post I will link here with this guy is having the EXACT issue i am having and his audio is pretty good. I cannot test the 4WD swap in my conditions as they occur at high rates of speed.

My conditions:
- highway speeds (55+)
- high gear (8th+)
- incline with slight throttle
- humming noise or vibration
- occurs when the vehicle is remaining in gear at low rev (if truck downshifts from 10th to 9th and revs kick up, no noise)
- 2022 PB XLT 29,000 miles

Are you sure it’s IWE related? I know some of these issues all start to blend together. Seeing you mention highway speeds and inclines just sounds close to my latest issue. I’d get a terrible vibration if I blipped throttle on the highway. Felt like a misfire. Long story short I added shudder fix and my problem vanished instantly. The theory is transmission fluid additives are breaking down, so I’ll need fresh fluid eventually. Not sure if this is related or helpful at all to you.

yeah could be. I don’t think it’s IWE. Never did. The only thing that tweaks me about transmission fluid related is some folks are saying theirs are doing it fresh off the lot. 7 miles on the ODO

Has anyone found a permanent fix for this issue. My 2023 is having the same issues since 500km. At this point it has had 3 IWE's replaced and is still doing it during cold weather. My local ford dealer just wants to diagnose it and replace the IWE again.
