That’s what I was thinking too. Hopefully just have to fork out my deductible and that be it. As far as I’m aware there’s no structural or frame damageDamn, I’m sorry to hear that!
Looks like you’ll need a grille, cooling package amongst other small trim pieces. Not too terrible but is totally fixable. Unless there is unforeseen damage.
There is usually a couple of inches in between the two. I do see some drops under the passenger corner, which means radiator could be cracked. Usually if there is any blemish or small amount of damage. They will replace if. Try your best to get oem parts.Gotcha! It’s heavily dented in the middle so I wouldn’t be surprised if the radiator was also damaged.
I’m hoping to take it to a ford collision center close to me. I was able to drive it home (happened 5 minutes after leaving my house) and it drove fine with no issues. I’m hoping by the time I get everything squared away with insurance I’ll be able to drive it wherever for repairsThere is usually a couple of inches in between the two. Yeah it’s definitely gonna be pricey to fix. I’m really hoping all I have to do is pay my deductible. There were actually some pretty decent scratches on the inside of both parts of the headlights closest to the grill, nothing that makes them unsafe or non functioning. The truck is a 3.5 eco.I hate to say it, but you actually got off quite light on damage. This is still probably gonna be 5K+
Any damage to the headlights or the housings
Looks like damage to grill, condenser, camera.
Is this a 5.0L truck?
I guess it depends on state, my 13 Lincoln slid into a curb and disconnected Lower ball joint and disconnected cv axle. Insurance wrote me a check for about 4k, did the work for 450 bucks and insurance didn’t go up a dime. Here in NY, I'd just buy the parts and fix it on my dollar. Otherwise, my insurance would increase by $3000/year for four years. State laws.
Good thing it's all bolt-on parts. Almost kind of clean, fun work on such a new truck. Just guessing, but maybe $2K in parts?
This is my first ever claim I’ve ever had on with any car insurance company I’ve dealt with so I’m hoping it’s not gonna be anything crazy. I’m located in Georgia and with it being an animal collision and not a vehicle to vehicle I’m hoping it’ll either go up very little or not at all but we’ll see. I’d love to fix it myself but I honestly don’t have the time. Here in NY, I'd just buy the parts and fix it on my dollar. Otherwise, my insurance would increase by $3000/year for four years.
