I recently purchased a 2021 F 150 Lariat with the FX 4 package and the Powerboost hybrid engine. My question is the previous owner had installed a 3 inch lift with 35’s. I am bew

Performance and mpg? I drive 40 min to work and back weekly. How does this lift and tires affect the truck?

@Snakebitten is one of more knowledgeable, so i’ll look for him to correct my errors.

35” tires and 3” lift will look sweet, but will crush your mileage and likely keep the battery mode from helping on mileage.

Edit: many will correct my errors above ?

Damn. It does look sick. I guess I should have done my research. I’ve been looking for a powerboost and I didn’t take into account the lift kit. Now I’m stuck. Wonder if it would make sense to remove the lift and sell the tires. I was hoping to get the benefits of the powerboost on the Highway. Thanks a lot for the response

Leadfoot Powerboost, '26 Powerboost on order
I have a ~3-4” lift and 35s (well, 34.8) on my Powerboost. There is for sure a hit to mileage but I still run in electric mode all the time. I would guess I’m 19mpg around town (with summer fuel) and haven’t tracked it much on the highway but would guess the hit is more significant there due to the reduced aerodynamics from the lift (and the GoFast camper on the back).

Compared to the ~13-14 mpg I was getting with my 2019 RAM 1500 I’m still happy with the increased mileage on the PB.

Yeah I have no cited it runs on electric during certain situations. It does look nice I must say. Have you ever ran on electric on the highway. Like I’m new to powerboost. When does it run on electric?

I have a 21' powerboost and ordered a new 23' powerboost. I have a fox level kit and 33" tires. Mileage took a small hit. What I would say to you my friend is enjoy the extra power you get from it. You can take the lift off, but whats the fun in that? Powerboost has many more advantages than just fuel economy. :)

It will best everything but a diesel in efficiency so there's that. More so if you're in traffic. There's a learning curve to the PB you'll figure out. Use the 'meter' for the first few thousand miles (or in city / stop and go at least). Once you understand its logic you'll be turning the ICE on and off when you want.

Which inverter is on it, the 2.4 or 7.2kWh? The platform has its shortcomings, but damn if the PPOB generator doesn't make up most of it.

Will that work on a 30 amp RV. Like I said I’m stoked about the thought of having a generator built into the truck. May I ask what’s the most you’ve plugged into it

That's a 240v 50a plug. If you have a 30a 120v you can add another dog bone to that or buy any number of 30a 120v adapter styles.

With the above L14-30 to 6P-50, you can then use a 6P-50 to twin 30a RV plugs to drive 2 RVs at once with both legs. There's 2 30a 120v legs. Together they give 240v at 30.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R62R5YN (this can charge EVs too as a lot of them use 6P-50, needs locked to 30a max - 25a is common locking spot for EV chargers)

= 2 30a discrete RV plugs

Or you can tap 1 leg directly (thought there was a Y version of this like the above cable, can't find it)

Charging EV w/ unique 30a charger, truck is putting out 7.5x kWh

Of course you can use it to backup a home with it in a power outage if you're smart with loads, and my most often use cases is not stringing a cord to an outlet ... basically its an electric socket on wheels. It will run up to 1.9kWh in hybrid mode w/ engine shutting off as well. Very smart design, bests any inverter generator on the market w/ hybrid mode. Tailgate is a work bench after all.... thus it's a convenient outside table. Just beware the sawdust :)
