No, not once it enters service. It's the in service date that warranty begins, not the sold date, even though it's still sold as 'new'. It gets the 41k/41mo warranty on it from the in-service date which can be seen on oasis.
I specifically recall those couple of past vehicles getting the full warranty start @ the date and mileage I bought them at. Hmmm.

I wasn't aware the service truck gets 41k/41mo warranty. Dealer said warranty start date is 11/30/24, so in this case I'm getting a little extra factory warranty time.

There's a small extension they do for certain vehicle use classifications they put in service. Ask them about it

I’d only consider that truck at a lower price. Maybe 55/60k.
What is a carfax going to show on the dent repairs? This truck will likely take a hit on resale.

The last time I had hail damage, it was 7k to fix. I would ask for however much they can get from their insurance, probably around that and try for 17k off the truck.

FCTP (demo/loaner) units get the 41mo/41K coverage. If that truck just went into service 11/30 then you are coming out ahead on the warranty.

I recall another thread on here about someone's ordered truck that was in Omaha and apparently took a worse beating in that hail storm. As I recall, it was in such bad shape that Ford refused to sell it to him and had him order another one.

As others have said, good PDR people can make it so you can't even tell. If it's what you want, and the damage is repaired to your satisfaction, go for it.

I just spoke to the sales person again, and my gut tells me he's not being shady. He's trying to set proper expectations before I fly in. He believes I wont see any damage on the truck at all when I come in.

He confirmed 500 miles on the car and no service records which is good.

He said there 20-40 dents throughout the hood and roof. No damage to any plastic or seals. After fixing they will detail and pressure wash to confirm no water leaking anywhere.

Here is a pic he sent me for reference.

I gave a small deposit on a credit card and got in writing it's full refundable if I'm not satisfied with the condition of the truck.
Two questions.

1. Can your temperament handle the purchase variables/uncertainties? Mine couldn't, so I would pick the Grainger deal and wait.

2. What do you know about the dealership? I ask b/c I did the same as you: found exactly what I wanted, got a great deal, put down a refundable (in writing) CC deposit, and traveled far to get the vehicle. When I got there the dealership added conditions and changed the deal betting I would suck it up b/c I had traveled so far. I didn't suck it up, made a scene, and made a bigger scene when they tried to keep the deposit (it was eventually refunded). So I refer you back to Question 1.

Good luck whichever way you decide.

Cheers!

The one advantage of a '24 vs '25 is that it will have all the options that were deleted on the '25s like keyless entry and maybe even a real tailgate instead of that PAT with no step to climb into the bed if the full tailgate is down.

I know nothing about the dealership. I like the salesperon I've been speaking to and my gut says he's being straight with me. With that being said, I understand I have no control over the situation. The truck will either be in the condition they promised with the deal we agreed upon, or I'll make a scene (lol) and fly home and can be at peace with that knowing it wasn't the right truck for me.

The only delete from '24 vs '25 I'm aware of is the keyless entry. I actually really like the PAT and it's an option I looked for.

Personally, I would buy the truck. I have had vehicles in the past that had PDR work and no one would have ever known. When you find exactly what you want, take it before someone else does.

I need some help on what I should do. I found the exact F150 that I want. In fact, it’s the only one across the country that I have found. I’ll have to fly in to pick it up and drive it home. Its 2024, MSRP is $76,420 and the dealership agreed to my offer of $66.5K plus tax, tag, title plus I can take advantage of Fords 1.9% financing. Basically, it’s the same cost as a 2025 from Grainger but I won’t have to wait and I can lock in the financing incentive. Who knows what financing will look like when 2025’s start coming in.

I call the dealership to discuss details and they disclose it was a service vehicle and it has 500 miles on it. I am kind of surprised they would use such an expensive truck as a service car, but maybe it was a manager driving it? I don’t love that, but maybe that’s not a bad thing as if there were issues with the truck, they would’ve shown up already. I am having him confirm the service records are clean and no previous issues.

He also disclosed there was hail damage from a storm in October. He said the truck only needs paintless repair on the spots and then it’s perfect and he’s having the work done now.

Can someone give their opinion on the hail damage? Is this a big deal? Assuming its all fixed perfectly and I wouldn’t even know without him telling me, is there anything else I should be considering with the previous damage? I imagine its only cosmetic, but is it bad to buy a brand new $66K truck that has to have these repairs? I don’t garage park my cars, so this type of damage could easily happen to me during ownership as well.

I am really torn on what to do and appreciate any advice here. It’s the exact truck I want, excellent price and excellent financing. If I walk, I’ll likely order a 2025 from Grainger and will probably have to take a worse financing deal costing me more overall.

TLDR: Would you buy a new truck for $10K off MSPR and 1.9% financing with 500 loaner miles and previous hail damage that's being completely fixed?
Nope. Order your truck the one you want if comes out to expensive now then save up.

Boards of filed with BUYERS REMORSE threads.

I bought a 2025 F 150 Tremor from Grainger and waited 6 months. Got exactly what I wanted and not only got 0 % financing for 3 years, but also got 4% below dealer invoice and $1700 cash rebate which I applied to a 8 year Ext warranty... go Grainger and you wont have any games
