Well boys, looks like Ford jacked up the pricing by $400-500 from its original pricing of the HVAC around $150-160 (this is for those in Canada); for those in US I see the price went up as well.

This is for those looking for the HVAC change for heated steering wheel hard button, might as well find a used one or just add a button through the Sync 4 screen.

Curious anyone ever try configuring the 8" center screen to super duty to try and get the soft button?

Without the 12" screen most of you guys have, I have also been thinking if there is an option to use FORSCAN to program the system to turn on the heated wheel only on startup (similar to when the rear defrost comes on when it's below 32F or 40F).

I received the HVAC module today and will be installing this and the SCCM in the next few days.

In the meantime I have put together a spreadsheet of changes I intend to make in forscan to enable the heated wheel and heated wheel with remote start.

These changes have not been tested yet. The list was compiled using As built explorer and referencing livnitup's forscan spreadsheet. @Livnitup looked at it this afternoon and offered additional settings which are included.

My truck is a Lariat 500 extended cab 5.0 with heated and cooled seats w/o heated wheel
The comparison truck is a Lariat 501a extended cab 5.0 with heated and cooled seats with heated steering. Those changes are highlighted in yellow.

If you have heated seats only you should be able to also find the appropriate changes here, but i haven't highlighted them.
Hey Man - if i'm not able to do the soft button or the actual hard button. Do you think following your great process will at least give me a heated wheel at startup?

Put some type of tie on that so it doesn't spin. If the center point is off and someone installs it, the first time the wheel is turned it could end up destroying it.

Correct, mine stays on about 99% of the time here recently. I've only turned it off on really long, 2+ hour drives so far.

Hold on, did you copy over you as built to the new SCCM? There are different left switches for different options, so if its not set correctly, none of the left buttons will work at all until it is set to match.
I might need you guys to help me with the as-built stuff once i get the mongoose, wheel and SCCM!

Decided not to risk making my own HSW controller o_O although would have been fun

Hey man PM sent, Just curious why the part number says ML3T whereas usually it's ML3Z that people talk about?
A little about part numbers. The "M" references the model year in which the part was designed.
L= 2020
M= 2021
N=2022
O is skipped because it can be confused with "Zero"
P=2023

L3 = the part was designed for the F-150

T = Is the Engineering number and this will be on the part inside the box. or stamped on the part.
Z = Service parts this will be on the packaging on the box or bag the parts come in.

So
ML3T = 2021 F-150 part
ML3Z = 2021 F-150 is the number the parts department will give you when ordering.

And all of that is assuming it's not a part already in the fleet. Quite a few JU5 parts parts in the truck as well...

LOL, Don't even get me started on parts that carry over between product lines or suffix numbers for right, left color codes and vehicle option suffix changes! :) ;)
