So, I noticed I recently received an OTA update and the hands free phone call quality is back to to normal. Here are some pics of the OTA details:

Can anyone else that had this problem see if the above update has resolved it for you?

I fixed it!!! I had this same problem and got some clues from your posts. Someone else may have come up with this and I just didn't read enough posts, so I apologize if I'm just late to the party. Anyway, in my case what caused the problem (the first time on accident, the second to test it) was that I tried disconnecting my phone from the system by turning off bluetooth from my phone. It wouldn't disconnect and resynced itself no matter what I did. After that, the hated static. I tried making the truck and the phone forget each other. I tried factory resetting the truck sync/computer (whatever it resets when you do it from options on the screen). I tried clearing all the bluetooth and wifi networks from my phone. Nothing worked. But then I read the post on here where the guy's wife's phone paired fine and was clear. Mine had been clear BEFORE messing with the bluetooth. My friend paired her phone and it was clear. There had to be some kind of breadcrumb memory that told the truck to hate my phone specifically, despite my efforts to make them forget each other. Hmmm, so how does one make one's phone look like a new phone that the truck has never seen before? Factory reset your phone. Worked for me - twice. Factory resetting the truck's sync was not necessary (tested this with my second time through), but do delete the phone from the truck's memory before factory resetting your phone. If you back up your phone to the cloud before resetting it, it should only take about 15 minutes to solve this problem. THEN NEVER TOUCH YOUR BLUETOOTH BUTTON ON YOUR PHONE AGAIN WHILE IN YOUR CAR!! Lesson learned. Glad to have everything working again, finally!

Glad it worked out for you. I don't know that any of us went to the lengths you did. I did try factory resetting my phone at least once, but not twice.

For me, the OTA update seemed to fix my issues. No static since that update.

My truck did this for the first time yesterday. As soon as sent the call to the phone and then switched it back it was normal for the remainder of the call. The person on the other end also said he heard static. Relatively new truck 2024 and took delivery Oct 31st.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one getting this issue resolved.

I registered specifically so that I could reply to this thread. First thanks to everyone to all their efforts to resolve it. At the very least I didn't feel like I was crazy and facing this issue on my own.

I stopped short of a phone factory reset, and just used the method of switching the call from Bluetooth to the phone, and then back. It worked good enough for cell calls. But not for Facebook messenger calls.

Then I went on vacation for 2 weeks. When I came back now Bluetooth is miraculously connecting so my calls natively, including Facebook messenger calls.
WITHOUT STATIC!

So sadly I don't have any other advice for other people. But as for now, my truck issue has resolved itself.

Good luck to all, and thanks again!
