Depends on which one it is that says was successful. Your OTA history is below. You have a successful on 2/14 for the APIM which was OTA 23-PU0724-DOM-RS, but the updates that followed both failed.

yeah, the successful message i got was for the APIM update.

@rugedraw @2022 5.0 is new to the forum, It's his first post. See if you can get his VIN and possibly give him some guidance.
I would love to help, but if he needs the PCM roll-back, (which it sounds like that is the case), then Jesse is the only one that can help.

I am stuck on 6.1. The last update was on October 24th. I see people talking about software updates up to 6.8. I am curious if all trucks get the latest revision or just some trucks depending on trim and year.

VIN # 1FTFW1E83PFA34969

Last OTA you got was 6.2.0 on 10/30. Many people are getting updates, and many are not. You just gotta wait for the OTA process to get to you.

I did go to the link in your signature and read the information about the updates. That was very helpful.

Thanks for checking on my updates. It is very much appreciated. Wish I could speed things up but I know everyone else is saying the same thing!

Also got update 23-pu1009-ss-ns last night. Service vehicle soon wrench light came on 3 trips later. Powertrain malfunction/reduced power in the app. Truck drives fine. Going to report to the dealer but not letting them attempt to fix it until they are familiar with the issue or there is a known fix. Glad I found this thread before taking to dealer for nothing.

Ford has not even recognized that there is a problem with the OTA software yet, As they are still sending to our trucks. By the time they finally do recognize the problem, pull the OTA, then develop a repair strategy and notify the dealer network, You could potentially be driving around with that wrench light for 4 to 6 months before the fix becomes available and your dealership realizes what to do.

Update scheduled for tonight. Might be a Power-Up. Vehicle unavailable for up to 45 minutes

"Ford Power-Up
A minor change so your vehicle can easily install the more intricate updates coming in the future.

Ford Power-Up delivers software updates that are designed to make your Ford vehicle better over time."

Some day my truck is going to get the update it's been preparing for it's whole life... and there will be much celebration.

If this is a Sync update it will be the first since 4.2.4 last May.
Does update details screen in truck show a version number for this update?

I also received 23-PU1009-SS-NS and now have the wrench light, but with a 2.7L. I work for a dealer so I gave them a shot and wanted Ford to know about the issue. FSE is stumped.

Waking up an old thread here, today I got the ford app notification "powertrain malfunction/reduced power".

2022 5.0 36gal tank.

I haven't gone back out to start it up yet but I didn't notice the wrench light on the dash, only the app notification. I quickly read through this thread but holy crap is this issue confusing, at least for me it is.

Has there been any new findings to this issue or are we still needing to get in touch with some of the God sends who have helped in this thread?

Message me the VIN. If your Fordpass is connected and it reported the codes to Ford, I will be able to see them.
