Garage exhaust hose?

Seems overkill for the few times you'll use it. That said, it would be nice for camping as well, but I'd want something that goes up and away and lightweight.

Check out what many indoor technician bays use at dealerships. Negative pressure Vacuum hoses. Even then there are leaks in the exhaust system upstream of the actual tailpipe. High volume exhaust fan covering the whole garage even then what happens in the case of mechanical failure. DON'T DO IT.
THERE IS A REASON THAT BACKUP GENERATORS ARE LOCATED OUTSIDE.

Agree. Hose material is poor. Plan would be this plus high flow fan in 3000 sqft garage with 10x10 garage doors open on both sides for cross flow of air. Not for generator, just for running car to set timing, points etc. Has got to be better than the fan alone.

I’m extremely thankful for this forum and all the great advice in here
After reading through everything, I’m returning the exhaust hose and will just run the generator while the truck outside and park my other vehicle in front of it if it driving off is a concern

With my truck you can’t drive off without key fob in truck. If you’re worried you could try starting your truck as if you’re going to power the house. Leave your fob in the house and go out and see if you can drive it. Pretty sure you will be ok. I know it’s the piece of mind.

I guess I’ve never actually tried driving without the fob. That would solve my issue completely if you couldn’t shift to park without the fob

I am overly cautious and use a "Club" also.
I have also used guard chihuahuas and taken one wheel inside.
Just kidding on the 2nd part but I do put a Club on when out in the dessert.
