That was just a series of guesses with conversions thrown in for complexity. I think my suggestion eliminates more variables and does so without guessing. Just drive the same loop with the same truck and the same trailer. Use ProPower first and then unplug it and drive it again. K.I.S.S.
As to guesses... come on. The number of BTUs in a gallon of gasoline is 125,000 and there are 3412 BTUs in a kW-Hr. Thus kW-Hrs per gallon. The efficiency of gasoline engines is well known. From there it is just ratioing from full power to a typical house load. Do your homework next time.

If FordPass was working properly with a Bluetooth connection, you wouldn't have that static ProPower screen that requires a manual refresh.

It used to recognize the Bluetooth connection as a Bluetooth connection and the App would extend the functionality to the same as the Sync4 screen.
You could turn generator mode on/off and the watt gauges were real-time.

I wish I had never experienced it working properly. ?

It used to work that way for me too. I have tried every tip out there and cannot get it back.

I think we were discussing two different situations. You were using the common estimate of 7kWh per gallon of gas used by a portable generator for the house usage question, and I was addressing the added mpg hit for using ProPower while towing.

My numbers were based on the BTUs versus kW-Hr versus a gallon of gasoline. Then applying a typical number for gasoline engine otto cycle efficiency followed by typical electrical losses. Good that we came out about the same numbers...

So how do I figure out what to charge other campers for hookups? I'll throw in extension cords.

Should I use, milage or kW/hr? Or should I just barter for beer?

Since you're going to be parked, I think kW-Hrs then back it up into gallons plus a wear & tear if done on a regular basis.

7.2 KW option - $750

120V Electricity to power the coffee maker on a freezing cold morning?

Name your price!

Having a generator when that wildfire blew through my part of Wyoming? You're right on, get that coffee maker going! I was about 10 days without outside power after the fire. PS You can take it with you on trips and make your own at rest stops with one of those fancy coffee-puck types...

"PowerBeast" - our 2021 F150 Lariat 4x4 Powerboost
I built a rack that holds 3 jerry cans of fuel for boondocking in the Airstream when running on ProPower. The same rack can also hold 3 Sceptre water cans if the weather is such that we won't be running the A/C much.
Pictures, please!

I use mine at the racetrack to run tire warmers and other crap. On a normal 8-hour track day running 2 sets of tire warmers that pull 1000w each (2000w for both sets) I would burn about a gallon a day.

I really need to get mine set up to run my house as I keep running into snags because electricity is *stupid*.

I DO wish ford had included a "Fuel Burn" rate indication, especially on the PPOB screen, just to track the ACTUAL Gallons Per Hour usage, instead of trying to maths my way with "Well I burned 50 miles of range and I was averaging 12mpg when I parked it...."

My Yamaha and before that, Honda, generators/inverters didn't have a fuel burn rate gauge. They simply had a fuel gauge that would constantly remind me that I best have a full fuel can nearby within the next few hours.

The Powerboost?

It has the same fuel gauge but instead of fuel can anxiety it tells me to relax. Go enjoy yourself. I got this. You can get gas when you leave to go home. :)

Your otto cycle efficiency analysis was pretty spot on according to the PPoB testing by EVPulse. Also it was nice to know for me that the 7200W is rated and not just peak output. My 9500W house generator is rated at 12500 peak but it still tripped 50% of the time when my AC compressor kicked on until I added the Micro-Air Easy Start. Now it works like a charm even running on propane which knocks the rating down to 8300W. Peak is only given with gasoline as the fuel source because it's the bigger "Must sell generators" number lol.

I also learned that Gros Ventre is the name of an indigenous tribe in western Wyoming and the name, which means "big belly" in French is due to the hand sign for their tribe given to them by french traders.
