Found an unknown aux rocker toggle switch hidden inside the storage pocket that is located directly next to your right leg. I was able to follow the wire routed to the back of the truck. Wires were cut and left zip tied to another wire near the hitch. Wondering what it could of been for?

Don't flip that switch! It will reverse the rotation of the earth, and your truck will morph into a 1976 Ford Pinto immediately!!

I am guessing you bought the truck used so previous owner just cut wires and left switch in, am I right?

Correct. Used from a dealership. Just not sure why 5 wires? I don’t think led lights need 5 wires

agree, if your going to run a wire to the rear...why not run one bundle with extras for future projects

or the previous owner had a length of wire left over and used it

Yea I guess I can take a multi meter to see how many wires are hot wires? Then one is ground(test continuity) and the others are just not used?

Look at it this way you have wiring already in place to add some auxiliary rear lighting or other accessories.
Can't say I'm a fan of the switch location but it's already there so might as well use it.

I ran a bit of cat 6 wire from my center console back to my rear seat area. Why run 4 pairs? Why not. I've got 250MHz signaling potential, relay / switch control, or 2 pairs can be used for 100Mb ethernet. You just never know.

Looks like some idiot lights (aka get off my ass lights). They could have been wired to the reverse lights with manual over-ride.

I'd check the tail/brake light harness to see if it's been spliced. (Just to make sure it's ok)

I used to install switches like that in undercover vehicles to kill the brake lights when lurking around at night.

I used the e-brake in the cobra playing hide and seek ?

Gone are the days of good old hand brakes.

There's police black-out options in forscan, curious if they now do such a thing electronically.
