FORScan Factory Reset/Find Changes Made?

Hi all,

I just got my 21 Powerboost. The previous owner was the owner of the dealership I bought it from, and it seems that he had the seatbelt chime disabled (assuming by the techs at the dealership).

I am wondering if he did this through FORScan, and if so, is there a way to figure out what all he may or may not have done?

I plan to make some FORScan changes myself, but would like to know what changes have been made if any before I start.

Simple answer, is there a way to just reset FORScan to factory settings without having your own backup files?

When changes are made those changes upload to Ford and become the truck permanent asbuilt backup. You can't go back and see what was set previously. You may be able to restore factory functionality but it would involve looking through Forscan and the big spreadsheet. This would be easiest if you know what you want to turn on and just find those features.

You have to find a stock truck of similar config (matching all but color) to get the original configuration. My goto is autotrader as it's simple to get to the option ballpark and a lot of the trucks have a carfax check, and when you click it you can get the original sticker to check options. The main thing you really want is engine/2x or 4x match/and especially trim package level.

Once I find said truck, how do I get the config from it?

Current mothership status. As vehicle software is updated changes naturally populate. Makes no sense to disable new features from the as-born configuration.

you can disable the seat belt chime via a sequence, its easier then hooking up a laptop to program.

In park, parking brake on, all seatbelts unfastened.

Turn truck on acc mode, not all the way on. Wait ~1min for the seatbelt light on your gauge cluster screen to go off. Once it's off, after a few seconds, clip your seatbelt in then out three times. The seatbelt light should come back on. Clip it in one more time and back it out and the light should flash.

Disabled.

Repeat to re-enable.
