Beta Testers,
Please upgrade to the latest 6.0.0 (Ford app)!

· FordPass is now the Ford app. It's everything you need to elevate your Ford ownership. Get free features, check your fuel level, schedule service, and more with support that’s a tap away.
· Fresh new design with smoother flows, sharper visuals, and light/dark modes for a polished next-gen feel.
· Instant access to vehicle details, mobile keys, and drivers from the main vehicle screen.
· Smarter EV charging with intuitive start/stop controls on the energy dashboard.
· Apple Liquid Glass support on iOS 26 delivers dynamic, consistent navigation.*

* iOS 26 devices only

For ICE trucks, it seems to be mostly cosmetic and reorganized.

Beta version for iOS 26 devices only.

Not sure if there’s a beta Android version yet.

It's free and it works for the basic stuff. Better than the vast majority of the competition.

Ford pass 6.0.0 (Beta) for Android installed on my phone yesterday. As the OP says it's basically a cosmetic change for ICE trucks.

I've been a "Beta Tester" for a while. For those of you still on the standard app, do you have access to to Zone Lighting in the app? I could swear that when I first got the truck in 2021 the app had Zone Lighting control. I know many functions were dropped in 2022 which was really dumb, and it took forever to get the trailer light check function back. But Zone Lighting seems like it would be a great thing to be able to operate from your phone. Not to mention, engage ProPower from the app as well without having to get in the truck to turn it on.
Are there any 'normal' people designing this software?!?!

Well said. I have to pay $15 a month for my 24 RAV4 Prime to have app connectivity to the car. If it wasn’t a PHEV then I wouldn’t pay for it. The Toyota app is garbage too so it’s frustrating. I like to know the state of charge since I drive it mostly in full EV mode. On my F150 and Ranger Raptor, both are thankfully free.

No. I know on iOS, a while back I got an email as part of the EAP with a TestFlight link. Once you click on that link on an iPhone, and you have TestFlight installed, it will add the Ford app to the list of testable apps, and allow installation of the non-production version. You might want to search your email for TestFlight if on iOS. Not sure what it is on the Android side of things.

Agreed... People need to be thankful that Ford offers this for FREE. I have a Jaguar and a Mercedes too and they want like $150 to $200 /year for their apps... I guess they figure if you can afford those cars you can afford the app too. Both brands apps are glitchy and the remote start / remote lock features works about 50% of the time. I was pleasantly surprised that Ford had a free app that has the same features other manufacturers charge for. And so far, the Ford app reliably starts my truck... Well done Ford, I appreciate you offering something for free that other supposed "luxury" brands charge for.

Thanks for reminding me. I was paying like $150 a year for my 19 Mercedes S63 and that app was also garbage. I think I even had to pay for my Kia EV6 GT after the first year. So from my experience, you have to pay more often than it being free.

I ride an Indian Roadmaster and they have an app called Ride Command. It's got a lot of good info, can build and share rides with directions with other riders, stores maintenance, bike info, yadayada... But the interface with the server has been a nightmare. When it works, it's great. But it doesn't half the time. I didn’t spend the $99 yearly fee to renew. Guess I’ll just have to make do with CarPlay.
We keep getting these high-tech gadgets and apps waved in our faces with promises of making life great but always get let down by the poor implementation. Companies hide behind the dealers when it comes to poorly functioning tech. They become the middle man who can't get manufacturer support but are supposed to make it right for the owner.
To everyone's point, FordPass... or just Ford app now, I guess, is probably one of the better ones out there. Even if that's not saying much. There's still a lot to be desired.
