Ford Removed My Packages?

This was mentioned above. GM or SM... has access to VVR and commdoty restraint report and production issues every week. Order change requests are not done automatically by Ford unless its a published bulletin with dealer delete deadline submission otherwise Ford will delete per bulletin and make sure dealer is heavily informed and has time to either communicate to customer to agree to optional changes and submit change request or accept mandatory deletes. Ford will delay production of that order if changes that can or can not be accepted are not accepted. Dealer, based on your list, had some changes that should have run by you for agreement and others that should have been communicated as mandatory deletes had you not known otherwise. Another case of either incompetent employees with multiple levels of resources and access to your order to best keep you in the loop... yet fail to do so or they never had your interest in mind. All smoke coming out of their mouths most likely. I would question them as you have invested time and money into this purchase and they failed you.

This. My dealer told me the items that were constrained the day after my order and advised me on what to delete (If I could live with it) from the order so that it would get built. A month or so later, Sales Manager called me and said that my truck would have Sirius/XM deleted but that it MIGHT stay because it was part of a package (BAP). Asked me not to cancel the order and said that they would give me my deposit back and order another a truck if the truck that I ordered was not delivered as ordered. It sucks that Ford is deleting things regularly now, but the OP's problem is with his dealership.

Geez...everyone getting a 22 or 23 might as well order an XL with all the deletes Ford is pulling.

It’s such a shitty time to buy new and maybe it’s better to wait until the used market dies down and get a 2021 that still has the features.

For sure. But even my XL had constraints. No Tow Tech Package with 360 camera for me.

What a shitty dealership. They either didn't know the deletes were happening, or did chose not to tell you. I'd walk from the truck if it were me, if you really want those options. Sucks though and takes away the experience.

Hopefully you figure out what's best for you and get what you want. The first time I talked to my salesman since ordering in April was this week because the truck arrived. He never reached out once to tell me the multicontour seats were removed. If it wasn't on this site I would have ended up walked in expecting to have them. I didn't have any remorse when he got sad that I told him I didn't want the truck over the phone.

I gotta say no complaints with my mid-trim XLT. It’s nicer than any car I’ve ever owned.

Alot of people probably won’t agree but I always get whatever engine and driveline (in this case 5.0, 4x4, 3.73) and forgo some of the creature comforts

I think the most insulting part of these deletes is the so called credit they give for the delete. THey give $3.45 for 360 camera delete.

The nice thing is a lot of these things can be added back. The 360 cams can be done faily reasonsably too. Adaptive cruise is pretty inexpensive. Not equal to the credi tbut still doable.

Other option is Maybe b find a used 21 that has everythign you want. Seems the 21 trucks will be the ones that are the most loaded. Some early 22 as well.

You may be able to find a new first half 22 that has everythign you want.

yeah I'm really not sure what to do... I feel like I'm always getting screwed over because of someone else's mistake and I'm really starting to think that whoever entered my truck in at the dealership just left out those packages even though I have a signed sheet saying they would be included. Like I said before this was a big purchase for me and I probably built 50 different trucks on the ford website getting it as close to perfect as possible for what I could afford. I originally was looking at slightly used or new trucks on the lot but dealerships had them marked over MSRP $7-$9K!! So that's why I decided to bite the bullet and buy a new one and get everything in it that I wanted, even if it wasn't going to come for maybe 6 months and planned on having this truck for a very long time. I was locked in at an interest rate of 2.9% and now I'll be at a rate of around 5.5% if I buy anything else and probably still be paying over MSRP... This sucks. The increase in interest alone will add $3,200 to my total price. and onto of all that I literally have a set of 4 brand new Limited rims and tires sitting in my house that I already bought from a guy on FB marketplace that I was going to put on it when it came in and now I don't know if ill even have a truck to put them on...

I look forward to the day when we can directly factory order. Still not bulletproof but at least only the customer and Ford involved without a dealer in the middle to screw it up.

In my case I had something added to my order but it was a minor change so not too concerned about it and the dealer is not charging me for the option.

IMHO Paying MSRP or worse, paying over MSRP, is asking to be ripped off. If there were no other options that would be one thing, but there are other options as long as you can wait.

He is my order:

MSRP = $68,945 at time of order.
Invoice = $64,321.
-3% off invoice total = $62,303.
I signed the order sheet for $62,303.
10-11 months later, just waiting for the truck to get shipped to Granger. There were 2 or 3 price increases along the way.
MSRP now for the truck = $73,000.
After Ford Incentives at the time of ordering I will be paying about $60K for a $73K MSRP truck. Worth the wait and drive to Iowa all day every day. I could not pay 73K for a new truck and would have to stick with my 2009 Tacoma were it not for Granger. Every dealer in my area is MSRP and they are telling me how lucky I am to be paying only MSRP and I would be a fool to walk away from their offer. I walked away and walked to Iowa.

Maybe start hunting around lots and seeing if there is something closer to what you ordered sitting on a dealer lot?

Welcome to 2022. Might want to find a truck on the lot someplace that has what you want. I bailed on my ordered truck back in MayBut now it just makes me happy I bit the bullet and bought a truck sans discount in May. I have everything I wanted.

to the OP, i'd walk. i understand your frustrations but its just a truck. there are many out there. as @tbinmd mentioned...i wanted a 23 order. spoke to granger and found out there'd be a long wait and that more things might get deleted. i ended up just lookin at the f150 inventory on fords website every few days until one popped up. its everything i wanted minus color. would have loved a rapid red but agate isnt bad. haha

That's what I was thinking. Maybe the OP wasn't armed with the knowledge available on this forum and just trusted that the dealer ordered what he wanted, when in reality the dealer just deleted everything that was constrained without telling the poor bastard. I had an honest dealer, but they could have hosed me if they wanted to before I started reading the Pricing/Ordering forum here.
