Mine tripped to 0% at 88% oil life remaining this last time. I've learned to just hit the OK button. It takes a fraction of a second and automatic by now. If I had to part with my truck for a day to get the update (that isn't guaranteed to work for everyone), I can hit the OK button thousands of times and still be ahead.

You're not wrong, but also we didnt pay 50+k to have to reset a simple oil life monitor every time we start the truck.

Avalanche, you are not wrong either. I've spent many years developing and testing software. I've had to deal with too many software anomalies and have learned to brush them off if not safety related or impacting operation capability. This oil anomaly isn't in either of those categories. Be thankful Ford has so much software working well. Many of the guys with new RAMs haven't been able to drive their trucks. I've read critical software issues are prevalent and may be related to out-sourcing software to South America.

I'd have to assume major issues get more attention than this one.

My job is controls/automation. I understand living with annoyances while working on more critical things (if resource constrained).

I recently had TSB 25-2331 performed to address the frustrating oil life reset issue. After the module update, all of my keys unexpectedly converted to MyKeys, which capped the radio volume at 14.

The dealer hadn’t encountered this problem before—they even tried programming new keys to set up an admin key, but the truck wouldn’t accept them. The only thing that worked was disconnecting the battery, which reset everything.

Interestingly, after the reset, the option to create a MyKey is no longer available (not that I need it). Hopefully, this helps anyone else who runs into the same issue.

I just bought a 2024PB that is Ford Gold certified. Had it a week and had this oil life 0% warning pop up 3 times so far. Dealership doesn't know but I take it in on Wednesday for them to look at it. I notice that every time it does this the battery gauge says 13v instead of 14v. Every other vehicle I've ever had, was always supposed to read 14-14.5v for a healthy battery. The PB hybrid system is different from anything else I've owned so I'm just curious if this is normal or related. Is the lower battery voltage causing it to glitch or just a coincidence? Is the 13v reading normal on these? Thanks for all the good info on this thread!

The PB doesn't have a traditional alternator so the 12v batteries are charged by the DC/DC inverter (or converter I forget the exact name). I've seen my truck display anywhere from 12-15v on that display depending on the SOC of the 12v batteries. Usually it starts at 14v if my truck has been sitting a couple days and slowly settles to 12 or 13 during a drive.

Edit: to add on to the original topic. So far I've done my 2nd oil change and oil life reset with no issues.
