Ya, but you don't want to know... $$$$. Aftermarket or second hand is your best bet.
What did you end up doing for running boards? I can’t find any 21+ boards but I have found several sets of 15-20 boards and motors. Do you know if those will work? It seems they may based off of what you said about 18+ SD boards

EDIT: I’m speaking about used boards. New. The 21* boards are about $3600

I'm about to tackle retrofitting the OEM ones on my truck, as I've apparently ran out of other things to mess with at the current time... Plus @Jesse-Infotainment really talked up the OEM ones so I blame him.

I have a lead on some boards off a 18 super duty, which should work just fine I hope as the mounts are all the same for these aluminum cab styles. The arms look a little different however, they go down and out more on a super duty, so might be nicer, might be too much, will find out. Only thing I'll be missing is the kick switch, which I plan to retrofit somehow. It's just a simple OFF-ON push switch to ground for each side. Like Jesse said, just need the right DSM which runs about $200, then the harness, which I plan to just add the terminals to the DSM connectors if I can and run my own harness to both sides so that won't cost much at all, maybe $100. Then hopefully get these boards for around $600. So all in be in them for around $900 ish, which I'll take any day over the amps I had my eye on which are $1700+.
Only difference is the length. The 21 boards run to the bed. Also they have a kick switch and the old one do not.

Eventually you could buy the newer boards they are swapable. The mounts are the saem. I took the oem stationary boards off of mine and put them on the 2019 I have..

I would much rather invest in the OEM over the AMP. I just think they are nicer and more integrated.

Any body know the part number for the oem electric steps?
You have to buy them in pieces. The motor assembly comes as one part. It includes the front motor and bracket and rear bracket as one piece those are about $12-1500 each side then the boards themselves are $700 - 1000 Each

I can get the part numbers if you want them. You also need the new DSM.

@Jesse-Infotainment based on those posts you just wrote, it seems like the 21+ boards are a bit more capable than even the 2020 boards. If I do this I want full functionality, would you recommend the actual 21+ boards instead of trying to get a previous model board? Or will the 2020 boards still allow me to get full functionality?

If its in your budget. The only added capability is the kick switch and length. The older boards stop at the rear door. The 21 up run to in front of the rear tire for bed access. I use it quite a bit for that.

The motors are the same BUT if you go that route you will have to add the kick switch wiring in the future if you go that route. The kick switch is on the rear bracket in a seperate plug.

Electronically there is not anything different for the motors. That i want to be clear. SO evenyone can make a decision. The only added functionis the kick switch that i havent used one time. That would be if you didnt have your keys I think and you need to use them you can hit that switch and deploy that side

Yes, the $$$$ will shock a person. My vote is to buy them new in the box from the parts counter. These boards - and in particular the hinges - are not serviceable. They will fail. I say start with new, not used. It's a major investment. Your decision OP.

These boards are a major reason I buy the extended warranty. I'm convinced these boards will need to be replaced. With these and the other usual suspects, I think I'll come out ahead with the warranty purchase.

One of my favorites. I jsut love how the boards deploy when I walk up.. I love i can control them from teh screen.. Just a superior solution to me. Expensive.. to say the least. But if youre drunk.. whats another drink. if youre going to spend 2k on AMP.. Those are good but no where near as nice to me

Do the AMP boards only deploy when you open the doors, or do they deploy with key fob unlock? I assume they’re not able to sense when you’re walking up to the truck by what you posted Jesse?

Amp deploys on door opening only, on the side the door was opened. They have an optional manual deploy switch that goes in the vehicle. There's no easy way to tie them to the fob. You could tie them into puddle lamps or similar, but every time they lamp comes on, they'll deploy.

I've got the amp boards. They're a better step platform than factory, but lack the length to be used to play in the bed as they don't go past the rear door.

yea agree with Jesse, the AMP boards are OK as I had them on my 15 lariat. The thing I liked about AMP boards was that they did go down lower when deployed and only the side the door opened would deploy. The AMP boards do deploy a lot faster than OEM, but with the approach and/or key fob deployment, not really a big deal. I didn't have the switch on my 15, so only way to make them stay out is the shut the door and then place your foot on the board so it wouldn't retract.

I do like the OEM with the approach deploy, the full length, the kick switch and can be controlled thru sync for in and out time limits etc. My only thing with the OEM is that they both deploy no matter which side is opened.

I did end up getting a set of boards off a 18 super duty, they do go down and out a bit further than the F150 ones so will see how I like them or not. It took FOREVER for tasca to get me my terminals to wire them up so kinda put the project off right now for the winter. I did bolt them up when I got them and they fit just like a glove in the up position. I enabled them on the APIM no problem and even turned things on in the DSM, but 99% sure I'll need the correct DSM module to make them successfully work. The only big challenge is how/where to tire into the wiring under the seat, which I found my seat harness is already pre-wired for them, but not on the cab side connectors, so just going to add the terminals there.

I'm thinking about adding the kick switch as well, as it's just a simple switch to ground is all, so just need to run the wires then figure out some type of aftermarket switch I could mount since you can't purchase the ford one on its own from what I can tell.

If any of you are still wanting the factory power boards I have a set off of my 22 platinum with 1000 miles on it. I lifted it and needed the amp so they would be lower.
Ah man, I should have just traded you then or you should have got a super duty set, that would have been perfect for you since they go lower and stick out a little further.

How much for yours??? $500 ?
