In a real pinch, you could upgrade.

DeatschWerks 9-442-C103-0906

I'd be real unhappy with Ford for forcing my hand, but I'd be able to get the truck on the road.
A dealership/Ford holding my truck hostage would be more infuriating than the $ for the pump.

I wouldn't allow my vehicle to sit. We're in the information age and ford has a lot of management that wouldn't take kindly to receiving calls on their personal cells about such a trivial issue.
Not a fan of laws, but for this warranty bullshit we're seeing with months for parts when they're sending them out the door daily, needs changed. Just a line or two about what any given part's destination should be if they're trying to hide behind so called "shortages", being code for "we've got just enough parts to send hundreds of new vehicles out the door each day, but not enough to fix a customer's vehicle". After 10 days, a fine should auto levy into the customer's pocket if a suitable part is in one of the plants.

I totally agree, However this seems to be the way of the world. We often see in industry where machine parts are backordered or have to come from overseas on the slowboat, Yet the machine is assembled here in the US. However those parts are earmarked for production orders, Not parts. Different orders, different PO's. As someone that works within that system I totally understand how it works. But as a real person out in the world, Totally BS!!

Same goes for people that Engineer bash when they find something they don't like. They don't get or care that most of that stuff is done by committee with agendas, budgets and priorities.

I also would be surprised if its the pump. There are 3 of them. Truck wont even start the pressure is so low? That means all 3 died???? I'm betting more on Fords Fuel pump driver. Those things suck. They go bad so often. I probably don't know what im talking about though.................

Let's see if parts are magically available once the strike hits :ROFLMAO:
Trucks on lots should have very minimal fuel if you're looking for a 'new' pump.
Thats what I'm hoping too. Could save them some money to send me a pump from the factory. They already owe me $7k in reimbursements and they are sending me a debit card for $900 to cover one payment and it will be 60 days without my truck in another week.

Because the person you talk to is the service advisor and not the tech. It is rare to find an SA who is a car guy/girl and knows what is going on with their customer's vehicles and has an understanding of these issues. I've worked in the business for years in sales (6 years for Ford; I'm now with JLR), and I run circles around the service advisors in my old Ford store.
Sooo....Friday evening my truck downloaded an update that looks like it fixed my issue. Two days before, I got a call from Ford updating me on my case # and they told me that it had been escalated to the engineers. I'm wondering if a mass update went out, or did they target my specific vehicle? I'm just curious is all. Stoked that everything in my truck works now.

Now this is strange. The OTA you got was recorded in PTS as 2.7.4 for the GWM. However, 2.7.4 is a very old update for job #1 2021 trucks that updated the IPC' not the GWM. I am beyond confused, but I am glad your truck is right now.

Ford says the in-tank pump PL3Z9H307B is on nationwide backorder and not in stock at any dealership in the country. They say they are working with the supplier but there is no ETA. They have been saying the same thing for 6 weeks now.
It looks like the pump you need is in stock at RockAuto for $300 under the Motorcraft part number PFS1359.

Thanks but it looks like that pump (PFS1359) is listed under a 2022 3.5 V-6 turbo, gas only, while the Powerboost is listed under 3.5 V-6 turbo, gas/electric and shows a part number of PFS1351 for my truck which is a crew cab with 157" wheelbase (6.5 bed). That one shows out of stock unfortunately.
I'm going to call RockAuto to see if I can figure out anything, but I wonder if my truck takes some oddball fuel pump based on being a pretty rare 4x4 crew cab with 6.5 foot bed and 157" wheelbase. I ordered it that way for better towing and it rides great, but I almost never see any crew cabs with the 6.5 foot bed.

Interesting, I'm seeing the PL3Z-9H307-B part number you posted earlier listed as replacing PFS1359 on several dealer websites. If you send me your VIN, I can check fitment on Fords catalog to see which part numbers are listed as compatible with your truck. There should be a few different options.

Don't know if the 2.7 and the 3.5 Powerboost share the same pump but here's one for sale. Might be able to just buy the pump and not the tank.

According to the catalogs that I use, your truck can take any of the following part numbers that all cross-reference to each other. If I try to order any of these part numbers right now, PL3Z-9H307-B is added to my cart because it is the current production version. Your dealer might have better luck checking dealer inventory for certain part numbers as opposed to others.

Ford PL3Z-9H307-B
Ford ML3Z 9H307-D
Ford ML3Z-9H307-DA
Motorcraft PFS1359

My two Ford catalogs also show the following 2 part numbers that cross-reference to each other under your VIN. These numbers do not cross-reference to any of the numbers listed above and could be a catalog error as a few sites like Tasca specifically lists these part numbers as fitting F150s "without hybrid".
Motorcraft PFS1351
Ford ML3Z9H307C

In any case, the PFS1359 listed as in stock at RockAuto right now should fit your truck based on what I'm seeing as every source I've checked indicates that this part number cross-references to PL3Z-9H307-B and/or ML3Z-9H307-D.

Thanks so much for the effort. I'm sending this to the parts manager at Peformance Ford of Moab. My truck is there, 1600 miles away. Not sure if they can use a different part to fix under warranty but we'll see.
