Ford download App. for remote start ??

This will be replacing my Rubicon with 210K almost trouble-free miles.
Hoping it's a reliable daily driver.

Glad to hear you got a good deal on the truck - helps cover some of the cost of upgrades at least! I'd recommend the Eibach's, they made my truck ride a lot better. I originally planned on spacers but the factory ride was too wallowy and floaty for me. My XL has remote start through the Ford Pass app as well so they didn't remove that for 2025.

You can even lock and unlock the doors from the app. Sometimes I will be in a store and think to myself ”did I lock my doors” and then just select lock doors on the app. ?

Agreed. I don't understand why anyone would want the key option when I can do it sitting in my recliner, but, that's why I'm banned from the "What did you do to your truck today" thread...

Just don't leave your keys in the truck when you are out and about. There have been numerous cases where the remote un-lock/start features don't work via the app and then you are screwed cause you left your keys inside the truck.

Good point, I've experienced these features not working due to low battery voltage.

My bare bones rubber floor mat XL has remote start via the app.

I also added this, which allows me to remote start via the stock key fob. Lock - unlock - lock.....VROOM.

I enjoy the remote start feature on my 2024 RCSB 103-A.
I would like to point out that when used, it will lock your doors. While most of the time, this is not a problem, I managed a rare chain of events, unlocking the passenger door to change out of my cross country boots.
I had used the key to unlock the passenger side, then set the key on the console. It was then that instead of reaching all the way across the seat to insert the key, I used my phone, set the phone on the front seat and during the delay, before it started, I walked over to the trailhead to get my skis. I was a little distance away when it started and I did not notice sound of the doors locking.
I put my skis in the bed, closed the passenger door and walked around to the ‘locked’ drivers door.
I had some time to think about it on the 2 and a half mile walk to the nearest houses.
I will do better in the future.

A side note on this- it says it is not compatible with the 24/25 vehicles. Idk if that's true, just noticed it when I clicked on the link.

Correct, that's what it says in the ad. Not sure if it would work on a 24/25.

I don't know why they'd be different, but I also don't know why they took out flex fuel capability.

Made sure my battery was 100% charged up and the software upgrade took - no problem this time. FORD cust service 800# was wrong in stating I had a hidden auxiliary battery that could not be charged but by driving and unreachable to me. HOW stupid. Does not even exist.

When you get the truck, have the salesman get FordPass set up on your phone. You can remote start from 50 miles away if so inclined. You can lock and unlock from anywhere. it monitors the health of your truck, its location, tire pressures, upcoming services, etc

It takes 30 seconds to get FordPass. Please do it!! Its so useful
