You mean when they jacked the price by 50% for those that had deposits down they werent listening to what their customers wanted? Of course they have Prop models to sale nowI got an email from Ford stating "They Listened"

The reply-to address was NOT a do-not-reply account, so I hit reply.
I was respectful, but gave them an earful. In summary I stated that they did NOT listen. And that my long awaited reservation opportunity had passed a couple of months ago and Ford would NOT build what I had always intended to purchase.
So too little too late.
I probably will have a Lightning someday. But it will be a fully depreciated used Lightning that was well cared for. So Ford won't be making a sale.
Unless they've been reading this forum for what it should include, I don't have much hope for itRumors of a surprise for F150 Hybrid for 2024.
Is it a second Hybrid variant?
Or is it Powerboost V2?
Well I DO hope they have been listening to YOU.Unless they've been reading this forum for what it should include, I don't have much hope for it![]()
If it IS a 2.7 Hybrid, how would they go about it not being a 2.7 Powerboost?I’m betting a 2.7 hybrid. I’d love to see a 5.0 hybrid but everything points to the 2.7, and it’s not going to be a “PowerBoost” but a rather lamed down efficiency hybrid. Ford won’t leap frog the 2.7 over the 5.0 in the engine hierarchy so power output will likely remain the same, just better fuel efficiency.
PHEV just makes sense given the charging infrastructure. With 40 miles of electric benefit combined with absolutely no need to even remotely try and rely on charging infrastructure -- I mean c'mon, it's a no-brainer, particularly with proper advertising.Well I DO hope they have been listening to YOU.
Regardless, they are explicitly citing something "new" related to Hybrid F150.
You de-tune the base engine and run it leaner, and allow the electric motor to supplement the missing power. Will increase mpg ‘s, but offer no extra hp/torque. Sort of like the Maverick hybrid. If it IS a 2.7 Hybrid, how would they go about it not being a 2.7 Powerboost?
Hell no, you can truck off w/ that idea. You de-tune the base engine and run it leaner, and allow the electric motor to supplement the missing power. Will increase mpg ‘s, but offer no extra hp/torque. Sort of like the Maverick hybrid.
They could do a 5.0 variant, but I don't expect to see a super charger in its future. The PB's motor has but 2 belt driven accessories and they use 2 discrete belts. The 3.5 already puts out more power than the 5.0, so the choice to have such a combo would be purely for engine preference.I could be totally wrong too, I have no concrete evidence of anything at the end of the day. Only ford knows. Maybe we do get a 5.0 PowerBoost. Maybe we get a 2.7. Maybe we get both (fingers crossed).
