Yes - the original poster has updated the first post in this thread with part #s and links to the 3D print files.Has the info been compiled into one post?.....instead of spread out everywhere..
All pn#s and prices?
Problem is...that shifter knob doesn't have the +/- on it to select gears..Yes - the original poster has updated the first post in this thread with part #s and links to the 3D print files.
I installed the bronco shifter with no +/-, but all the other information in this thread is for the expedition shifter, including all of the parts appended to the first post.Problem is...that shifter knob doesn't have the +/- on it to select gears..
Look at the photo in post 391. - and + shifting is there.Problem is...that shifter knob doesn't have the +/- on it to select gears..
As for the spare, others can just get the cheap Bronco one that sometimes pops up for $30 as means of a get home shifter. That one is smaller too.I thank Ajzride for bringing this subject to life.
This morning I installed a rotary dial shifter, using the outstanding bin made by Alan, aka Ajzride.
Mine has the forward shifter position.
My 2022 PowerBoost, Platinum was produce on the first month of 2022. I purchased a new rotary shifter for 2022-2024 Ford Expedition. Part # NL1Z-7P155-B.
Got it from Sunrise Ford Parts.com. Fontana, CA.
I wanted a new shifter instead of something used.
It works. No codes, goes into 4 high, 4 low, locking axle engages just the same as before and + - switches function.
The truck doesn't know the difference.
This modification really cleans up the console area.
Me being me, I also bought another spare rotary dial that will stay in the truck.
One huge advantage of making this mod is, if for any reason the rotary shifter fails, It can be changed in 60 seconds. No dash or console trims need to be removed. Just lift the failed rotary dial out, disconnect wire harness and plug and place new shifter.
if you need something cheap to get home yes.. but if you are gonna buy another expedition shifter in the future anyway to replace it.. may as well just have the second on hand. I hope these prove to be a lot more reliable than the stupid large gimmicky shifter that came in these trucksAs for the spare, others can just get the cheap Bronco one that sometimes pops up for $30 as means of a get home shifter. Why would you want an extra expedition shifter though. Those don’t typically break so needing two expensive shifters isn’t as needed.if you need something cheap to get home yes.. but if you are gonna buy another expedition shifter in the future anyway to replace it.. may as well just have the second on hand. All the more reason to swap in that Raptor steering wheel to retain the shifting from the paddles.Big thanks to @Ajzride for the massive help he is with this forum and others. I had started this process before the expedition model was made as well as I don't tow enough to need the manual shifter. I've only driven it once, but it feels like shifting between drive/park/reverse is much smoother with this dial. Now I need to break the habit of reaching for the old shifter.![]()
Not yet. There are no shifter with TRON capability and the +/- buttons. If you can give up the extra buttons, then a 2025 Maverick shifter might work. After the swap you will need to fire up FDRS and PMI the shifter and add TRON keys. Then it MIGHT work.Has anyone got this to work on a 2024 yet? Or still dead in the water on that?
