i bought the rotary shifter from a 2021 expedition for my 2021 f150. unhooked the harness from my shifter and hooked up the expedition one and can't get it to move out of park. is it bad or am i missing something. hooked my stick back up and it works fine. thanks for any help with it.

Well that doesn’t seem right. What part number did you buy?

The 22-24 expeditions share a lot with the 14th gen F150 (PDMs/DDMs for instance are new parts starting in 22, sharing the F150's pinout). Hadn't paid too much attention to the parts people are getting but the expeditions '14the gen f150' parts refresh occurred in 2022.

Pretty sure the part number needs to be LL1P-7P155-AD or newer.

This appears to be a retired part number, and while the newer part number (LL1Z-7P155-K) shows backwards compatibility with the 2022 Expedition, this one does not show forward compatibility with the 2022 Expedition. That could just be because it was no longer being made by the time 2022 came out, or there could be an incompatibility. I find it odd the plug looks the same, and the newer part number should replace it, but it can't replace a newer one. Perhaps it's a firmware issue?

The listing on the one i bought stated it was out of a 21 Expedition. I cannot see a number in the pictures and will not see this until Monday. The only number in the listing is this:
