I struggled to find any posts here on this topic.
I have a 23 PB and the felt pad between the cabin and bed looks to be slowly falling off.
I think it may be to reduce sound in cabin?
When my AC is running I can feel a lot of cold air coming from the gap where it’s falling down so maybe also for insulation?

Have others had this issue? Should I just ignore it or what do yall recommend?

On order ‘22 RCSB.
Part of mine is coming off too.

There are vents on the back of the cab to let air out when you shut the doors and when running the HVAC on fresh air mode. All cars have these vents. That is why you feel cool air coming out.
if you use recirc, you wont loose as much air out the vents. But totally normal to feel the air.
I cant help with the pad things…sound insulation is my bet.

Hi Ryan, If you’d like further assistance regarding the insulation feel free to send us a private message with your VIN and local Ford dealer. Thank you!

There are 2 plastic louvered vents on the back of the cab, these vents allow air to exit as fresh air is taken in. This is why you're feeling the cold air coming from between the cab and the box of the truck. The picture is of a Super Duty, but the F-150 is similar.

It's the sound insulator pads. Mine was just replaced under warranty as it was separating form the cab as well as installed incorrectly and causing water to seep past the cab vents. The dealer had to unbolt the bed to replace the pads and vents.

There are two of them back there. ML3Z*1540380A and ML3Z*1540381A

Can you advise your fix? I just discovered my 21 Platinum has this issue also.
