Gaps between box floor and sides normal?

Yeh now you made me think. lol
There's a 6.5 long foot rectangle of dirt in my driveway ha ha
Just went and Looked up in there.
Seems semi managed, there's sheet metal cross member with lips and drain holes.
There's dirt up in there so I'm assuming some muddy water drain through it.
Looks like it may bypass frame rails, gas tank,
And axle to a point but not quite muffler.
There are some small seam gaps too.
Someone should put a hose in bed and vid the drainage flow underneath.
I'm not worried about it. (San Diego)

I'll be doing that right after work. I'm in Canada and road salt and rust is a thing here. I have a Scab 8' and want to keep it "forever".

Weird, bed liner didn't fill gaps, looks like floor was done as separate part almost.
Side seam doesn't follow frame rail at least.
Wheel well liner has lip that looks like its under part of side seam.

Those gaps are exactly why I made this topic. And as feared, water runs right on the frame rails, axel, exhaust and gas tank at the exact same spot. It direct all the water to that line. I think I am going to run a good bead of high quality exterior black caulk all along those joints.
