Done that many times in my 36 gallon 5.0. In fact personal record is 928 miles, based on 496 miles of interstate driving from Greenville SC to Winchester VA.

Its nothing special.

I think the tiny tank on the PB makes them feel special. I have the 36 gallon too on a 2.7 so usually 780 miles to empty on screen when I fill up.

Except he can actually make that 704 come true. A 5.0 averaging 25.77 mpg for 900mi. is a dream. Averaging 23mpg in a PB is very doable.

I'd rather have a tiny tank(30.6 gallons) than a tiny engine ;)
I had a lot of issues with my 3.5 in my 2011 but I was really considering a power boost. No regrets I save a ton on gas just not as much as I would with a PB.

I don't know about that. PB might beat in mixed driving, but out on the highway my money is on the 2.7 it's hard to make a bad choice with these engine options. :)

Yeah I mean from Den to Des Moines, I got 28.2 mpg in my 2.7 fx4 running over 70. I did have to fuel once with my 36gal, but only because I didn't leave with a full tank.

I have the 3.5EB with 36 gallon tank. With the exception of winter time, I routinely get 700+ after each fill up.

I regularly made 700+ miles on a 36 gallon tank with my 2015 302A 157" 4WD with the 3.5 Ecoboost & a 36 gallon tank. My 2019 RCLB 2WD with 5.0 motor, & 3.15 rear end averages 24.5mpg. My 2022 Powerboost 302A 157" 4WD averages about 27mpg on its 30.6 gallon tank & consistently shows 800+ miles to empty at fill-up.

Spoiler alert though, I drive like an old man, because I am one. In my experience, hypermiling does require factory tires (at slightly over the recommended inflation) & wheels, no lift or leveling, clean air filter, no mods other than a bed cover, no hauling of unneeded dead weight, & consistent commitment to fuel mileage.

I have noticed that small things like tire wear (tires get lighter as they wear out), ambient temperature at fill-up, & break-in (it takes at least 20k miles before I can get the best mileage out of a new truck) all seem to have incremental impact.
