yep or ACF50 aircraft corrosion preventative
just wash with good car sop and water after the use of each one
ACF 50 wont take wax off

skin so soft from avon works great as well and you smell nice and mosquitos leave you alone while removing the tar. ?

Next weekend, I'm gonna have to drive through a large area that is undergoing resurfacing and sealing. Miles and miles of it.

Anyway, because for several decades, my job had my truck off road and in the mud, more or less everyday, if I ever had it, the detailing gene was beaten out of me a long time ago.

It doesn't have to be that way anymore, so I have a lot to catch up on. Anything fancier than old fashioned paste wax, or NuFinish, is all new to me.

In prep for getting this new truck, I watched a few vids, bought a foam cannon and a couple of the Meguiar's value packages. Within days of bringing my new truck home, I washed it and wiped it down with their ceramic detailing spray and it hasn't been through so much as a puddle since.

So, is there some magic goop I can use to clean off the inevitable tar? Something that won't hurt the finish I've already put on it, or will I have to reapply that?

WD-40 is a good tar remover and can also be applied before you enter that paving zone to help stop tar from sticking as bad. once again it will probe remove wax but makes cleanup pretty easy

WD40 is one of my first go-tos for most thing paint related. Wash the area first to try and remove as much scratching particles as possible. The last thing you want to do is rub a bunch of sand / dirt into the paint in the process. A lot of waxes and polishes are held in suspension with a petroleum product.
