So I’ve came to the conclusion that the EGR 303585 hood deflector is right for me.
I’ve got the 2025 XLT 3.5L with the Black appearance package.

my only concerns are typically all these hood deflectors say they work on the 2024 models, but not 2025. Is that just because they haven’t been updated? Because I’m pretty sure the model years are exactly the same.

more of a concern is the actual web page for the hood deflector I want says
  • *** DOES NOT FIT THE BLACKOUT PACKAGE ***”
Does anyone know why??
I don’t think the black appearance package would change anything about the hood?

I can’t find a picture of a ‘25 to confirm this, but the ‘21-23 models with the black appearance package did have a different hood and grille.

I also do not specifically know about the 2025 but I do know with the 21 and 22's. The BAP came with the different hood. It can be known of as the "Tremor" hood and that is what the Tremor came with. It is very different from the normal hood and there are threads here about this very topic.

The first picture shows the BAP Tremor hood from a 2022 and you will see it is very straight in the front bottom of the hood. the normal F-150 hood has a curve to it.

Us older BAP people waited years for a rock deflector to be made to fit the BAP Tremor hood. I think there are finally 2 people that make one and the one you see me installing on my 2022 BAP is Weathertech.

I have a 24 tremor which I think has the same hood and have the weather tech one on it.

I like it. And it looks good

I also have a 2022 XLT BAP with the tremor hood. Do you have a part number/cost? Did you order directly from Weathertech?

Does it trap water behind it or is it a pretty snug fit?

‘23 BAP with the WeatherTech as well. I imagine I’m going to have issues if I ever want to take it off- but it’s held up well so far:

Here's the link: https://www.weathertech.com/hood-protector-ford-f-150.html?year=2023&ymmSearch=true

You'll want to select the "Unique Hood" option (see below). It's double side taped to the hood- nothing is getting underneath it (for better or worse). It's $79.95- or about half of the only other option available for the Tremor style hood (and it's 3 pieces- this one is single piece):

I take mine through automatic car washes at least 2-3 times a month. Any issues in your experience?

well, it’s held on with a double sided tape. It’s not completely sealed all the way around. If you take a look at the install instructions on whether text website, they have a video. At one point you can see where the tape is in the breaks in the tape, it won’t collect water.

With that 3M tape this thing is rock solid on the hood with barely any space to spare. In fact to remove it you will probably have to break it.

I run my truck through a full car wash regularly and no problem at all. Once installed it is almost like it is just a part of the hood.

My only nit pik with the Weathertech is that I wish it came up the hood just a little higher but the design of hood makes it difficult and I understand what Weathertech has done. It will protect that main front "flat" section and that is all. That is good enough for me for a fairly low price.

According to that picture above with the 2025 BAP it looks like they dropped the Tremor hood and now just have the same hood for BAP and regular F-150's.
