What has been anyone's longest wait for a F150 after they placed an order with a dealer? I placed an order with Granger Ford on 6 November 2023, and as of this post I do not have a build date or anything. It may be due to the trim level. I ordered an F150 Platinum Supercrew 4X4, hybrid engine, Rapid Red, 702A, FX4, spray in bedliner and retractable tonneau. Maybe I should have not ordered the bedliner and tonneau. I guess five months isn't that bad.

I ordered an XLT on 3-19-2024 and they sent me a build date 10 days later (Build date of 4-29-2024).

I waited 11 months for my 2022. Many supply issues in 2022. 8 to 10 months was not uncommon.

@wessermgm ordered in early October I think. He’s the longest I’ve seen for ‘24.

Granger Ford told me that my MY 2024 Platinum + was one one many that hasn’t been scheduled yet. They said Platinums just haven’t been scheduled. I guess it’s better than having them sit at a racetrack in Detroit.

Me: I ordered my 2023 Tremor in August 18, 2022 and picked it up at Granger on Feb 24, 2023.

Buddy: Ordered a 2024 F350 Limited in July 2023, arrived at Granger last week, but was waiting on a winch which arrived yesterday. He should have his truck soon.

i ordered my 2024 lariat on September 25, just got notified that it’s scheduled to be built starting April 29th.

Order a Platinum 702a 157" on 10-7-23. Went into production on 1-19 and then to Ford quality jail.

Not accepting a truck that has undisclosed quality issues, so I placed an order for a Job 2 truck the other day. Already scheduled for 5-13 build week.

Yeah, I would never order a vehicle early. I would rather wait at least for the initial batch of issues to be discovered and resolved at the manufacturer, rather than at the dealer later. In the case of Ford in particular I would hate to order a new vehicle and have it sitting at a speedway in the weather for months before they ship it to me. I especially would not get a model year change vehicle.

Right now the wait time is anywhere from 6-9 months. When it comes to a Platinums, those do not get scheduled as fast at XL, XLTs (for an example), but Ford is building them. When it comes to the bed liner and tonneau cover, those should not delay the production with Ford, although Ford does send the truck offsite to get both installed which can be 2-3 weeks. Depending on if you have the Pro Tailgate assist on your Platinum as that would have delayed it too, but Ford has started building the trucks with those as of March 18th. If you would like to remove those, please contact your sales rep and they will be able to help!

I ordered a new 2024 F150 Lariat because the Platinum doesn't come with a 5.0 engine on 10/6/2320 and it hasn't been in production as yet. Ford is failing the customers badly.
