The overpriced Lightning was during a very different automotive buying market.
Today you can grab a 2023 Lightning that had a MSRP of $80k, and has less than 10,000 miles, for a round $50K.
Yeah, I know the market is different now but after what I learned the PB seemed like a better fit so in my mind that ship had sailed. I'm very happy with the current truck so no harm, no foul there.

You can go AWD if you want by swapping out your t-case.
I've seen the write ups and it's definitely on my mind for the future but not a priority just yet.

Wet roads makes the TOD worth it! My truck is 6400lbs with at least another 350lbs on the rear tires from stock and it's real easy to get the rear end loose w'out trying resulting in increased tire wear. Wet roads = 4a on. Also makes left turns across oncoming traffic much easier. Also sport mode turns on 4a automatically.

No regrets whatsoever with the Powerboost. At 3 years, it's still my favorite truck I have ever owned at this point. I'm honestly amazed at how much this truck has me smitten this long in.

Having said that, I still hear the call of the Lightning. If I didn't have an EV already, I'd seriously consider a depreciated low mileage Lightning. They've proven to be a pretty dang good truck too.

My real problem is that I'm a Ford truck fan and would love to have one of each variant in the barn. ???
