I know that's why he sold it to me, I know how it works. I don't think they sell any other plans, only that one.
I did not convince myself at all that this is a superior plan to the "real" Ford ones. As I said - the reason I purchased it was to include it with my financing and I specifically told him I will research the Ford plans and I may get back to him to cancel (which I did today, btw). That's why I came here to ask about coverage and the likelyhood of the plan denies pay because of whatever reason/excuse.
I only know 2 things about this, and second one is based on fairly small sample size.

1. Salesmen push what makes them $ and anything said verbally is not worth spit

2. EVERYONE I know (again small sample size) has regretted getting 3rd party vehicle extended warranties. Everytime a bigger repair comes up, it is a hassle. 3rd party wants more and more proof from repair shop, then argue about rates and parts cost, then push for a non-OEM part (as they are cheaper), then the repair shop (if it's a Ford dealer) will take the position they won't do the repair with non-OEM parts, then you have to have it towed to another repair shop or pay the parts cost difference yourself, etc. etc. etc. And during all this your repair job is moving from 2 days in the shop to over a week. Meanwhile you are pushing to get a loaner/rental, and they are arguing whose fault it is that the repair is delayed. So many horror stories...

You should be able to get a Ford ESP 8 year 125K premium care covering high tech and lighting for @ $2200 give or take depending on the deductable. I used Zeigler ford https://www.zeiglerfordesp.com/warranty_plans/?plan_id=2053 Use PAYINFULL promo code for an additional $250.00 off the price. I have used them on my other fords with no issues and very reasonable prices and always less then the 3rd party warranties, better coverage and zero hassles when you do use it.

I think you have made a wise choice to seek out research/information and then go back and correct it.

Those 3rd party groups are not rated very well and you can't be the factory extended warranty.

I cancelled the Ethos/EG Assurance plan that I added through my dealer. While it was 100% cancelable, since it was financed through Ford Credit and was added to my 60 months/0% finance, they cannot remove the charge but instead they will apply the plan's cost to my truck's loan, so my 60 months became 57....not a big deal, just a principal fact that was not brought to my attention at time of signing. Oh well.

Anyways, I checked four ESP's now. If any one is in the market today here are my findings.
7 years/100K and 8 years/100K, $100 deductible:

Ziegler is the most expensive one - $1595 / $1805 ` $35 per day rental, $50 for rental day one.
You can finance the cost up to 12 months, no interest.

FloodFord is cheaper - $1395 / $1605, however their rental coverage is $30 per day and finance is only up to 6 months through PayPal Credit.

Lombard Ford showed crazy numbers - $1749 and $1959 and their "Day One Rental" is $55.

Last but not least is AndersonAndKoch - similar to FloodFord in terms of cost and finance, and they will also cover $35 for rental.

So although more expensive upfront, Ziegler makes the most sense to me because:
1. I can stretch the payments for 12 months
2. While doing so, I also earn miles on my credit card ?

BTW - can't remember which one was it, but in one of these sites it had a message that rates are going up on 1/5/2022. Can't tell you if it's a sales trick or a fact.

The amount covered for rentals is from Ford directly, so I think Flood just haven't updated their web page info. (The contract from Ford states $35.)

I went with Zeigler because with the "PAYINFULL" discount it brought it somewhere around $50 cheaper than Flood (at the time, but imagine the spread hasn't changed much). And, yes, all those credit card points. :)

Just beware of anything other than $0 deductible based on past member's experiences posted in this thread.

Hmmm, why is that? I actually haven't read anything in that regard.

Because when you take it in, you pay $100 at the door before they even look at it. It has been mentioned a few times in these 24 pages.
I also saw something where it was each item as well not sure if that was accurate or not though.

I'm also pretty sure it would be for each item.
Otherwise you wait till you have 3-4 problems.

So other than "name recognition" (for the lack of a better description), and the fact that I can finance it for 12 months, is there any other benefit to Ziegler's policy vs. FloodFord or A&K, who are both $200 cheaper than Ziegler?
To me, it looks like Ziegler bumps the price and give us a promo code (PAYINFULL) in order to match the competitors, but then you can't finance it at all but you can still stretch over 6 months with the other two.

Just look them over and be sure they cover ALL BULBS. I've been told 1 LED Projection head light is like $1400.
I think they are about the same coverage.

As for the deducible question:

And one failed LED headlight or taillight will just about have this coverage pay for itself. :)

I don't know who's paying for the rental and how, however, when you quote A&K plan online it shows $35 for rental, but in the brochure with coverage on their web site it says $30.

The Ziegler's brochure, while it looks almost identical to A&K and Flood, it says $35.

This is not an amount that should break the bank, it's just interesting how these are "Ford plans" and they are not identical.
