I don't know who's paying for the rental and how, however, when you quote A&K plan online it shows $35 for rental, but in the brochure with coverage on their web site it says $30.

The Ziegler's brochure, while it looks almost identical to A&K and Flood, it says $35.

This is not an amount that should break the bank, it's just interesting how these are "Ford plans" and they are not identical.
That's just an outdated brochure. Note that some of the other coverage amounts went up. IMO this gives less credibility in A&K, since they're not keeping their website current.

At the end of the day it is the exact same plan from Ford regardless of the brochure or other website content.

As mentioned with the 0 deductible, if you can swing it, it is really the way to go.

Even if you bring it in for something and they say that nothing is wrong, you have to pay that deductible. Would not take but a few of those to pay the difference.

First day rental is cheap for what you get and makes it much easier for dropping off and continuing on with your day.

I paid $2130 with Ziegler plan with "paid in full" discount on my Costco Citi % back credit card.
8 years 100,000 miles. Zero deductible. All lighting added. First day rental added.
2021 powerboost Lariat 502A auto level headlights, 4x4, FX4, 7.2KW Inverter, 99% of options available. This will be very attractive to next private party buyer when I'm ready to sell truck as it is transferable. Too much technology to chance it.

I normally don't do extended warranties but given issues so far I decided to opt for it. 8 years/100k miles for $1500 with $200 deductible seemed pretty reasonable to me. I'm pretty sure the dealer tried to sell me similar plan for $10k when I purchased the truck...

That's insane, I laughed when they offered me an extended warranty for $4,700.

Why did you add lighting? You have 502A, all LED, and all LED lights/Assemblies, as well as Incadescent/Halogen bulbs are covered in the Premium.

All those double-asterisks in your snippet are referring this detail.

Thanks for letting me know, potentially saved me some money and ooppss ?
??

It is pretty weird how the contract has the checkbox to DELETE the option but while you're buying the ESP you have to check a box to ADD it.

Go figure! ?‍♂

I bet 50% of people don't notice it, like I didn't. Another revenue channel for Ford.

Yes, it’s more expensive but the $0 deductible is the way to go.

Lombard has the most financing options and unless something has changed, they’re the only one who also accepts AE.

The first day rental is a GREAT deal as it starts on day 1 (not just after your standard warranty expires) and saves me asking my wife to drive me or Ubering. Will pay for itself in two trips to the dealer.

But based on my investigation they are also more expensive, even more than Ziegler.

Those self leveling headlights are expensive if they develop issues. The crazy way the asterisks and footnotes exempt items, I figured it made sense to include coverage.

I just purchased 8/100,000/$0 from Ziegler. They were $50 cheaper with PAYINFULL and while I could refinance the other two for 6 months through PayPal credit, I opted to pay with my card. At least I'll get some miles for it.

One thing that has me a bit concerned is paragraph 7,e(3). tampering with the Vehicle or the emission system and components (Paragraph 7 is of course "What is not covered").

I plan on installing an oil separator on my truck. Sure, I can remove it every time I need to take the truck to the dealer, but it is a major PITA.

Does anyone have experience with dealing with repairs under ESP while have an oil separator installed?

Thanks.
