I have no issue with EV trucks and cars. The issue I have is the concept being forced on people by people that feel they have the right to do so.

I use my truck to tow and and EV would not allow me to do what I want. I refuse to disconnect my toy huller with 40k of SXS's that anyone can then just connect to and take off with so I can spend time to charge in remote areas that have no charging available or worse yet block god knows how many charging spaces so I would be able to watch over my stuff.

For just going on a short trips they are great and I have thought about getting one for such but not for truck stuff they are simply not practical for the application I need.

Was that gesture you're referring to from a speech by Elon Musk at a celebratory event following the recent inauguration on January 20th in DC. I think he might have made that gesture impulsively. He’s also somewhat on a spectrum (autistic) which makes him act awkwardly sometimes in the public eye.

Decades of media coverage, education, and historical documentation have made the gesture a symbol for Nazism, so any similar arm movement, especially by a public figure risks being interpreted as a reference, whether intentional or not. Because he publicly supported DJT and the fact that the mainstream media hates DTJ and his movement more than anyone else on the planet, I think they took the opportunity to slander him and created the reference to the Nazi solute that went viral. I honestly don't think Musk is a Nazi or intended to make reference to it in that speech.

I would love a hybrid that used the 2.7L and optimized for economic instead of power. Maybe a option to go like 25 miles all electric or maybe like 50 depending on the cost difference.
