I don’t mind it on my ‘23 5.0. It seems pretty infrequent, and the AC blows cold enough air for a bit, and by then the truck starts back up.

In my ‘18 5.0 it was super annoying. The AC didn’t blow cold for more than a moment after the engine shut off, and it didn’t restart until I took my foot off the brake. It also had this weird stutter/hesitation right after starting again. I enjoyed about 6 months of ASS free time when my OEM H6 battery didn’t hold enough of a charge.

Bummer. I like mine. I live in the city and super easy to disable it temporarily (big button in dash) or via preferences. Don’t ruin for all.

Well when I am sitting at a light that takes 5 minutes or at a train crossing and the train has 100 train cars traveling 5 miles an hour I am glad I have the auto stop/start, because with our it i would just turn off the car/truck(that is what I would do before) If you don't like it use the button that turns it off, that is what I do in traffic.

So here's the thing in your extreme example...if you have to wait for a train to pass for that long, why would you need the ASS to kick in for you? I would just shut off ANY car I was in if that was me. 99.9% of the time you don't need it.

It accelerates engine wear and is hard on your engine.

Ya, I mean, nothing is stopping you from shutting off your engine whenever you want. However, those of us that would like our trucks to last for a while shouldn't be FORCED to have this made up, save the planet bullshit shoved down our throats.

To me, the dumbest thing is coming to a stop when parking, the engine shuts off, then when you shift to park it starts back up again. Why on earth.... I don't get it.

Interestingly, if you can remember when it shus off, just hit power off and the shifter moves itself automagically to park... Intelligent one way and so stupid another way. ?
