Perhaps check that the TRON status of the GWM is good.

That's why I asked if if there were any codes since I know the PDM/DDM are on TRON.

My truck is too old to have TRON, so I'm not positive, but I've seen some screenshots of others checking.

How do I do that?

Click the GWM module to bring up the guided routines you can do and look for one called TRON authorization and run it. If TRON is not broken, it won't do anything to help, but if it is messed up, it may help the cause.

However, if you are not showing any GWM or TCU codes shows, chances are TRON is fine.

Did the diagnose and repair for TRON in the GWM but the test passed. Tried to update the TRM again but still failing. Same for DDM and PDM.

Yea, I didn't think that was the problem. I'm stumped. Issue could be on Ford's side.

@bryce600rr What did you end up doing to get your Alexa back? I updated my 2021 and my Alexa went away. Any help or info on what you did would be much appreciated, thanks!

Factory reset on the APIM I would assume.

Yea, I didn't think that was the problem. I'm stumped. Issue could be on Ford's side.

Uninstalled everything, FDRS and all Bosch/Ford software. Rebooted and re-installed everything. Rebooted again and everything is working again. All modules updated A-OK!

Howdy folks! Been away for a while, the weather is getting better on this side of the world, which means UPDATE time. I have seen Ford has changed the licensing now, it is double the price now and needs to be bought from motor craft website.

Questions for folks outside the US: Did you buy the license choosing USA as the country on the motor craft website and used it outside USA? If I choose, UAE as the country on motor craft website, it doesn't show me an option to buy the subscription.

Hello my friend. Ford changed their cybersecurity recently. Even with a VPN, you may find your account will get banned almost instantly. You can try, but be prepared for disappointment.

So my subscription says it runs out at 3pm today but I’m receiving the following errors.

User authentication has failed
User authorization has failed
If the issue persists please report the error and contact the Ford Hotline.

I did log in and did do the 2 factor authentication and it worked ok. These messages are only after it returns you to the FDRS page.

I had almost worked up the courage to try some updating myself. Purchased a mongoose and got a laptop…. Then the changes came! Best of luck to you when you decide to give it a go!!

Possibly. They are banning people erroneously in some cases.

Might not be erroneous, unfortunately. Ford‘s user agreement limits personal use of Motorcraftservice.com (which includes FDRS) to individuals over the age of 18 in the US only. In Canada you have to be an “Automotive Service Provider” and in the rest of the world you have to be an “Independent Repairer.” Enforcing these restrictions with greater care might just be part of Ford’s efforts to limit use outside the US to businesses.
