The power steering did show up yesterday and I ran the upgrade fine. I’m not sure why it is grey this morning, would that prevent the IPMA?
It won't stop the IPMA from running to completion, but if your running it as a muli-module, the pscm may error out, when it goes to install that. You'll be fine, you can run the com error software after the ipma completes.

No. Click the IPMA and scroll down to where it has all the file names. Look for location F188. Does the file end with the letters BBC or something else?

Inside the toolbox? I looked through the tabs but did not see where the file names are.

Under the first tab - Vehicle - should list all the modules - click on IPMA - scroll down under the list - it will list some files - find F188 - what is shown.

Nope, ACJ.

Ok, click the ipma, select the PMI and when fdrs asks if it is the original module, select no. If it works, it'll take three hours to flash the ipma.

I think it might be my Norco is not big enough. I was checking voltage then running it and going inside. Before and after it was 14V but I see it slowly trickle down once it starts.

You need to use a power supply, not a,charger.

Yea, you need a power supply 20amps minimum for that update. If you already started, you can't stop it. If you have another vehicle and jumper cables, have it on stand by if you want. Worse that can happen if the ipma bricks and then you can fix it with a PMI, but again, you'd need the power supply.

Edit: I made the same mistake the first time I updated my truck years ago, but my Noco 10amp charger held up long enough. I got lucky. Voltage dropped to 10. something.

I now have a bigger 20amp supply from kanuck and still has the same issue if I run update or PMI.

How old is your battery? If it's OE in a 21 it's most likely toast. I'm on battery number 4 in my 21.?
