There is a folder FDRS creates inside Program Data - if you can delete that, uninstall and reinstall FDRS - that should sort it for you. This has happened to me a few times (tons of issues if you are outside US/Canada) and this fixed it every time.

UPDATE: I see you are using Win11, this folder on Win11 is hidden, so you need to unhide it first. You can follow: https://lazyadmin.nl/win-11/show-hidden-files-windows-11/ to unhide and then delete the Ford folder. Please don’t delete any other folders. FYI the uninstall of FDRS doesn’t delete this folder so this needs to be manually canned. So delete the folder, uninstall and reinstall and see how it goes.
I followed your instructions to a T and I still got the "Internal Error" message when I logged in. I attempted this on FDRS version 38.5.7. :(

Try logging into motorcraftservice.com and make sure you can get in. If you can, take another crack at logging into FDRS using the same credentials. Use the most recent version of FDRS.

That one is too old for sure. Use 41.x.x and above.

Good morning folks. I have previously used FDRS successfully last year to get my '21 Lariat which was on the dreaded stuck version so I wouldn't receive any OTA updates.

I purchased another 2 day pass of FDRS last night, and have not been able to log in.

Here is what I have tried so far:
Installing versions 37.4.7, 38.5.7, 40.4.1, and 43.6.3 (uninstalling and restarting laptop in between).
Logging in via WIFI and Ethernet
Changing my password on the Ford site.
Completely disabling my Windows Defender firewall and app protection
Running FDRS in administrator mode

I tried to list the photos in order, but what I am showing is the network test and attempt to login in on version 38.57 as it seems to be the go to version when people have issues. The screenshot showing "Browser cannot be initialized" reflects what happens when I try to log in on the latest version of FDRS.

My laptop is the same one I used last year. Specs listed in photos.

I'm really at a loss here, as I am not a tech newbie. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can also provide the error log file if neccessary.

Thank you in advance!
Edit. Version 41.5.6 worked perfectly. Thank you to all that responded!

I am planning update my truck using FDRS. However, the laptop I have has only one USB port. Do we really need two USB ports to do this? If yes, could I use a USB hub to increase the number of ports? I would appreciate any suggestion to deal with this. Thanks in advance.

You could unplug the Mongoose while transferring USB files, but I wouldn't do it. I would grab a USB hub. Preferably one that has an AC adapter so that it is powered from an extension cord and not the USB port.

Great! Thanks for the suggestion. I will get a powered USB hub then.

You can unplug the mongoose while transferring files, but a USB hub makes it a lot easier. The first time I did updates I didn't have a hub and was able to do things by unplugging the mongoose when needed and had no issues. I have since gotten a hub and it makes things faster since I'm not unplugging/plugging in things repeatedly.

Has anyone had any issues with the BCMC update? It just keeps failing with an error of "NRC 22
(conditionsNotCorrect) Unable to execute diagnostic service 0x31. Check all cable connections and ensure the ignition is switched on). I have the battery on a maintainer and it is holding steady at 14V. All of my other updates I have managed to get to go through, but this one just wont seem to work. There is still progress moving forward in the background for block erase etc. Should I just let that run with the error still up and see what happens?

Try restarting the laptop.

Restarted it and it failed again. But then I just clicked no when asked if I wanted to retry and then re ran the update and this time it went through successfully. Thanks for the help!
