ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Ok…all SW Updates are complete. I have 2 orange CMDTC’s detected. Sync is still at 23159 Rev 915.

I would message Jesse to see if he can help you get fully updated. You are missing a GWM update to release the rest of the updates you need to be fully up to date.

Clear the DTC'S and rescan the truck. You should get all green lights

Unfortunately that didn’t work. Still have the SCCM “lost com with IPMA”. ABS was replaced with PCM “air dam stuck”

That may be due to the 6.13.0 CMR update. There is a new version that is being rolled out to the Lightings and MME's, but I don't think any F150 has reported the CMR-FX update yet. We should be getting it sooner than later.

Edit: Never mind. I don't why I saw CMR when it was SCCM.

Check the exact DTC that the SCCM is throwing. If it matches the one in this SSM, then it’s a known issue. Fix not expected until Q2.

SSM 52224 2021-2023 F-150 - DTC U023A:08 After Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) Reprogramming

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC U023A:08 after reprogramming the SCCM. Do not replace or reprogram the SCCM, image processing module A (IPMA) or their components for this condition at this time. This DTC does not alert the customer, will not affect vehicle durability or vehicle operation and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that will reprogram the IPMA and is expected in Q2 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

Yep. That’s it. Known issue. No fix until Q2 when a new IPMA update is expected. Ignore it for now.

So I found reason why the license issue happened when trying to use FDRS on my work laptop. Was due to companies vpn. So I have it setup on new laptop and now my license shows green and everything is green on bottom of FDRS screen. But when I try to login I get this fault saying can’t reach FDRS server.

Click the Network Diagnostics button next to the License button. Might be a problem with the login server, in which case you probably have to wait and try later.

Not sure if you got in. I was experiencing the same issue. I had to uninstall and reinstall FDRS. Also, I was using my username and password for the Motorcraft website rather than my email and password. It changed somewhere along the way. Hope you got in ??

I actually had to downgrade to an older version of FDRS. Once I did that everything went smoothly! Thanks for the tips. Happy it worked out.

A TCU update just showed up for my truck, a 2021 Job 1 Lariat 501a Powerboost. I looked at the software that came with it and it's dated 8/27/2023. That seems bizarre to me. Everything else is up-to-date, except I haven't installed the BCM update that was toasting LED modules.
