I was a little confused myself when he showed his update list but stated "I do not see an update"?

Yes . Like myself I'm currently updating but don't see APIM. Believe will show up once I perform certain ones. Didn't have GWM. Performed IPMA &IPC and now I have GWM . ...but yes think he needs to perform those and eventually will get

You are correct, I don't see an APIM or GWM update. My main goal, as many others, is full screen Android Auto. Do I have to update all of the other modules as well?

Yes, it is common for an update to not show available until dependencies have been installed.
The APIM update you are desiring is very recent, and for a 2021, it's the last update released.
For 2022, there's been one additional APIM update beyond the one that added full screen Android Auto.

I ran all the updates in fdrs today for my ‘21 to get full screen CarPlay. I’m on the Apim update and powered the truck off for 30 mins and restarted. It told me to restart the truck again so I waited 30 mins with key away from the truck and I’m still getting the restart truck prompt. Should I just leave it and wait longer to restart?

No.. Dont wait too long. When it turns back on it will say leave usb in do not remove until told to. SOme people confuse it and think its saying restart required. 22228 adds a new message. Also you can check if it stuck by going into about sync and see if the version is 22228 if it is leave the usb until it says succesful

If after following Jesse's advice you are still stuck in a restart loop you have a battery issue. Either get a new battery, or put it on a reliable charger and get it to a better charge level.

If after following Jesse's advice you are still stuck in a restart loop you have a battery issue. Either get a new battery, or put it on a reliable charger and get it to a better charge level.

I have the pro-logix charger in power supply mode but just checked my battery and it’s down to 33% with 12.6 volts. I’m going to charge the battery up and put it back in power supply mode. Then it should take the update?

It should take it once it gets to an acceptable level (usually 80-ish %). I got stuck in the restart loop earlier this year on an update and the only thing that fixed it for me was a new battery. Hopefully a night of charging gets the job done for you.

Thanks. I’ve already had one battery replaced under warranty and had suspicions about this one when my start/stop wasn’t turning on but I wasn’t getting the system off to save power message yet and my dome lights are still coming on when I open the door.

Yeah the start/stop not working is a big clue to a bad battery, assuming this is your daily driver. If it's not your daily driver then it may just need some drive time to recharge it. Leave the charger on over night in charge mode and see what happens.

1) Download the latest VX Manager installer from here.
2) Start VX Manager installation, when prompted select PASSTHROUGH - J2534

NOTE: Your AV might flag certain driver files as malware, this is however a false alarm. You may need to add these files to your AV exclusion list in order to complete the installation

I really hope you folks are at very least updating and running some sort of anti-malware software if using the VX Diag product. While I haven't seen any definitive proof the "Ymacco.AAE9" code is being used maliciously in this circumstance, it very much is used in that way by other actors. The safest thing would be to used some sort of a virtual Windows install. They're easy to set up and you won't compromise the PC.

Glad to hear!

I wish Ford would put a more descriptive reason on why the truck continually asks to restart the truck.
