Does it seem odd that everything but the IPMA and DSM have updated by now? Do you think a bad value could keep the module from updating at Ford?

The VX Nano has issues with modules on the new CAN network in the truck (CMR, CCM, IPMA, maybe one or two more). It works fine as long as you avoid those modules. It will also give bad as-built data to Ford if you run a network scan with it.

I've attached the history from yesterday's trip to the dealer and the list of updates you have pending to perform. I'm not going to comment on what may or may not have been accomplished during this session in the shop.

You haven't said what the issue is except to say something's 'stuck'. Can you be more specific? Are you saying you aren't getting OTAs? Or something's not working right and the tech can't figure it out?

You'll need the 20A powersupply/battery charger (I used the recommended PL2320), the Mongoose-Plus Ford 2 cable, and at least a 2-day FDRS license running on a laptop with plenty of ram, a good processor, great internet, and make sure to turn off any 'sleep' options and anything that turns on the 'powersaving' for things like the USB ports, etc.

Thanks Mike G. I say I am stuck because I can see on the Ford Widget that 1.7.1 OTA failed I think 3 times and my Sync screen has no version and the automatic updates are greyed out. I asked the dealer to get me unstuck and they told me that they checked for updates, and I was up to date. Obviously not true. I questioned him about TSB 22-2150 and he gave me the deer in he headlights look.

Well that sounds to me like they didn't want to go get all the adapters and double USB A cable etc. that is needed to do that TSB and the tech has likely never done it before and really isn't into trying new things....wow.

You may want to try another dealer cause the symptoms you stated are well-known and the TSB does specifically apply to your case.

No, in addition to the Mongoose you'll need the USB cables and stuff outlined in the updated version of that TSB to do that specific procedure, but for any updates you plan on doing that require a thumb drive (a lot of them do) you'll need a 64GB USB 3.0 drive that is formatted to exFat (will likely only format to 32GB but that's fine).

Since you don't have a gateway or TCU update pending I'd try the APIM update using the USB drive first to see if that will take. @Jesse-Entertainment may have more guidance to provide in your situation. I've never had to get past the stuck 1.7.1 thing personally.

You were exactly right. I went to pick up my truck and had the info from you in hand. I decided to be nice and ask if there was something I could do to help the process and the service manager went and printed the TSB and said he would order the cables to give it a try. Will see what happens but without your FDRS downloads he wasn't going to believe me over his tech that had told him I was up to date.

So this is stated on the FDRS start Page. Anyone have access to the latest online FSA's to see if anything has changed to 22S17 (TRM Recall) maybe the software version changed to BB or something compared to the recall documentation of DH. Perhaps? ?

Stuck at 1.7.1. No version displayed, cant toggle update schedule sliders.

Following 21G01. No GWM updates, No TCU updates, tried APIM twice. No joy. Then tried 22-2117. Failed twice. I'm really at a loss.

Anyone have a few minutes to check and see what might be up? Any help would be most appreciated.
