ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Well. After reading all the success and instructions I feel like this is something I can handle. If not. You guys are awesome and willing to help. So I ordered the Mongoose and it was supposed to be delivered today, was excited to get started, but now it says for delivery tomorrow. So I wait another day. LOL. My truck already has the power up 2.3.0 so hopefully the rest will go smooth. Has anyone ran into any major issues after the 2.3.0 power up to get to the current version?

I'm in the same boat! Delivery delayed until Friday, but just hoping for a fun weekend and can celebrate with a decent drive on Sunday!

My IPC got stuck in between the 2.3 and 2.5, that is the only big gotcha I've seen hanging out there.

It’s up to you. I don’t have any knowledge outside what was posted by ford to their dealers: it wouldn’t hurt to wait. You ma run into snags today and tomorrow. If you can start on Saturday morning and just work on the weekend it may be better. You definitely don’t want to be in a position you need the vehicle or need to move or drive it.

Dang, I just cleared my work calendar for Friday afternoon and was going to do my updates Friday into Saturday. I may bump that a week since I'm going to try and get it all done with a 2 day license.

Maybe they will have more updates, including the Trailer Brake recall by then.

Just my 2 cents, but most people who have tried to cram it into a two day license have been really stressed out, myself included. It only takes one hiccup and you won't make it. If you go ahead and budget/plan for 4 days, you will save yourself a lot of heartburn.

I finished using a 2 days license with plenty of time to spare. Bought the license and started immediately. Just kept going until it all finished. Started Sunday afternoon, and I was done around 11pm.

clicked on the link to download the FDRS software. it asks for my country and Language, when I click submit, I get an error. Anyone else getting this.

Might be related to the planned outages.

I updated everything to BC with the 2 day license, but it was my second time doing updates, so it wasn't nearly as stressful. Wait to buy the license until the morning you're going to start as it's calendar days, not hours. If you buy it Saturday morning, the license expires Monday night. Start first thing in the morning, read instructions carefully, and be patient and you should be ok getting it all done in a day, especially if you don't take breaks.
