Thanks. So F120 and F188 are the same for you, different by one character for me. Probably prepping for BlueCruise.- DID F120 - MU5T-10F906-FDA

I know you weren't asking me, but I have the same F120 MU5T-10F906-FDAThanks. So F120 and F188 are the same for you, different by one character for me. Probably prepping for BlueCruise.
Yours and mine are the same.I know you weren't asking me, but I have the same F120 MU5T-10F906-FDA
but my F188 ends in FCA rather than FDA
Wish I understood more about the DID values and their significance.
(I recently applied the IPC USB/CAN update)
This brings up a very important question, those of us who only had one file will we see another update since it was corrected? The IPC update seems to be ok now. They seemed to have sent out the correct update.
Edit.. The IPC is TWO parts - I know I mentioned that previously. First is a USB update and the last is CANBUS So please pay close attention as you do it.
First, check nodes F120, F124 and F188. If F120 ends in FDA, F188 ends in FCA and there is nothing at F124, you are up to date. Don’t worry about it.This brings up a very important question, those of us who only had one file will we see another update since it was corrected?
That’s the real issue. Speaking with @JEB if I understood him correctly he had an issue and then did a PMI and it did another update during the PMI and he has been confirmed to be at the proper files. This brings up a very important question, those of us who only had one file will we see another update since it was corrected?
Bob, I originally had the 1 file update like you did. And I applied that update. This brings up a very important question, those of us who only had one file will we see another update since it was corrected?
Yep. That’s what happened. But it was quick. The DTC related to a failure to properly configure the module. When I ran the PMI, it quickly flashed that it was retrieving new software but what I didn’t see was the slow, arduous block-by-block CAN bus update we’ve seen for larger updates. So it either retrieved a small file that installed quickly, or it retrieved a file, decided it wasn’t needed and then just proceeded to complete the configuration without installing new software. No way to tell for sure. But the PMI absolutely said it was grabbing new software. That’s the real issue. Speaking with @JEB if I understood him correctly he had an issue and then did a PMI and it did another update during the PMI and he has been confirmed to be at the proper files.
So you could try a PMI to see if it detects the needed files. I had to side load the files. It took hours and hours but did get it finished: it was the cluster that went totally blank and it came back to life. I did the side load in the order the update did it.
I had to do the PMI as well but don't recall the CAN update. I just did another PMI and I did see it this time. That’s the real issue. I match with F120 & F188 but the before and after AsBuilt after doing another PMI (just now), I do not have F124 with either...First, check nodes F120, F124 and F188. If F120 ends in FDA, F188 ends in FCA and there is nothing at F124, you are up to date. Don’t worry about it.
The "All" is all the tabs in one location so I'm stumped why it was there and not in the SW Updates tab... I also confirmed this with the pesky GSM update that won't go away.Bob, I originally had the 1 file update like you did. And I applied that update.
But the next time I looked, FDRS had an IPC software update available (more than 1 file) in the "ALL" section (when you click the IPC module on the left screen), rather than the SW Updates section.
I applied THAT one and it required both USB and CAN procedures.
I have no idea why that update was listed where it was. I almost missed it.
You need to look at your Driver seat module. That is the module that controls those and the heated and cooled seats along wit steering wheel. You may want to PMI the DSM.Anyone have trouble with their running boards after updating? am now up to date is seems but my power running boards are stuck out. Only DTC is on the IPC, cannot get this one to clear. Fuse is good and ran tests on DSM, BCM BCMC all good. Interestingly, when I ran a self test of the BCM after updating it (had a DTC) I it had very violent movement of the running boards. Did not do that this time.![]()
