I'm still learning about my truck, fooling around with different things, and seeing how things work. I've tuned into Eco Mode before, but just fooling around. Recently I put it into Eco Mode for a more serious examination, and noticed that when I shut down the truck I got some type of a report (I think an Audit Report???) displayed on the instrument cluster. I'm not smart enough to figure out what this "report" is trying to tell me. Can someone educate me?

Yeah, it happens when you turn the truck off (doors closed), and all of the systems are dying down.

It's just part of the eco coach. Should appear on the screen at the end of every trip, afaik. Basically youre doing everything the truck thinks you can to achieve decent gas mileage. Those numbers would be lower if you accelerated hard from a stop, slammed on the brakes, or were driving 70+ on the highway.

It’s like a comparison of how economical you drove in those categories vs how economical you could’ve driven ideally. For example if you are cruising at 80mph instead of 65mph, you will get a lower score on speed. If you aren’t coasting much to slow down and instead brake later and harder - you’ll get a lower score braking. Same thing with accelerating leisurely vs beating everyone to the next red light.

Not easy to do safely, but you will notice that the green band that is around the speedometer pointer is actually a guide for where the truck is trying to coach you to be. If you accelerate fast the green band gets behind the pointer, and if you stop fast it falls slower than the pointer.

Okay, I think I get it. You're saying that if I drove perfect - as defined by the parameters that are set up in Eco Mode - then it would show 100%, i.e. I drove exactly as Eco Mode defines. How much you deviate from Eco Mode's sense of being perfect is your score. Right?

Interesting stuff....

I never did test well........ The one time I tried eco I ended up trying to see how bad a score I could get...

I never get a good score on this...maybe it's because I like the sound of 0 - 50 and the rush of 60 - 100. The speed limits here are usually 75 which means you can cruise 85+ with no problem. All of those probably contribute to a low score.

So have you driven in eco mode long enough to do a comparison of your mileage from normal mode? Just wondering if using eco mode makes much difference?

No, I have not. Speaking only for myself, I don't envision driving in Eco Mode as a driving lifestyle. That's not to say that I won't feel the urge from time to time (like maybe when gas jumps $0.50 / gallon overnight! o_O). Primarily, I was just fooling around, learning about this massive computer... err, uhh, I mean truck, that I'm driving around...

You have a heavy foot and you drive fast but somehow manage to decelerate properly and safely!! I don't know how that works but it is apparently working in your case.
