I use ECO when on highway or easy city driving, stop/go traffic.
Hills/decent etc normal as eco feels too sluggish.

If they would let truck recall last mode used it would be in ecomode all the time. But I forget to turn it on.

I've experimented quite a bit. I see really no significant advantages in Eco mode. I get between 23.8 and 25 most of the time in either mode. We went for a long ride over the weekend and left it in normal mode. Got 25.7 mpg and electric even kicked in at 55 for quite a while till it got hilly.

So, IMHO, I don't waste time using Eco mode anymore because Normal shows/has no significant changes between the 2 and gas pedal is not as spongy.....

At least for the Powerboost, Eco mode isn't going to get you better fuel economy for most people. I only use it on the highway, and part of the reason for that is to smooth out speeding up with cruise control on. It's less likely to try to go full throttle to return to the set speed in Eco than Normal.

I use ECO mode 99% of the time. I am not able to duplicate the ECO mileage in NORMAL mode. The "normal" feels like "sport" mode to me when I use it. I don't care for sport mode at all. Have not experimented with any other drive modes. There is enough grunt from the PB motor that even ECO moves me along just fine.

you get 24MPG? That's amazing. Not that I'm all about mileage (I'm fine with the 16-17MPG I get), I haven't broken 18-19MPG and I'm consistent in the 99% range for acceleration, braking, etc. I use eco mode on the highway when not towing and when using cruise, never use sport - and no where close to 20MPG.
Which engine? Eco didn’t gain me anything in my 5.0 (maybe around town only). But I’m still on a VERY old software so maybe it’s updated the algo.

what are your gears? I assume you have max tow? I get over 20 easy in my 5.0 but I have the 3.33 gears

I use Eco mode most of the time, only don't when I forget. I did a comparison last month when I drove from Ohio to Gulf Shores. I drove down in normal mode and average 20.9 MPG (driving on avg 80mph). 22.9 on the return trip in Eco, although I think it was closer to 24MPG by my own manual calculation, driving mostly 75MPH.

I use ECO most of the time in my 2019 2.7. I also watch the instant MPG screen which helps me gain a bit more I think. I am consistently 21MPG+ in the warmer months. Have a 5.0 on order and will be curious to see what I can get with that engine. Merging on the highways and getting up to speed I keep it in normal or sport, rest of the time it's in ECO

Same here. Actually, I saw worse.

Drove to Dallas from Houston in normal mode and set CC @ 75mph for the majority of the trip. Got 19 mpg on that trip.

On my drive back with same speed but in eco, I got 18mpg. I know there are other variables that could explain this, but I expected better.

Is there not a setting to control how aggressive the "return to set speed" is?

Normal is too touchy for me and it's easy to lose all the mpg so I now exclusively drive in ECO.
