Downloading Power-Up 6.8.0 Today

I have a Job 1 f150. I finnaly downloaded tonight after a few low battery failed attempts

Job 1 limited here. Been on 6.8.0 since the 22nd. Can't say I've really noticed anything different from the previous updates. Just finished a 500 miles trip and nothing seemed different

I received notification that 6.8 failed to install on the first attempt, which I believe was due to low state of charge. There were two options to try again, download at next scheduled time or now. Rather than try again at my scheduled time, I put on the battery charger and selected download now. I think it gives you 2 minutes to exit the vehicle and believe it said it would take 10 minutes to download. I checked the truck in about 30 minutes and 6.8 had installed.

It will not do it with battery low.

6.8.0 downloaded 3 days ago. The scheduled install failed twice. Each time sync said the install was interrupted by another process. So today I turned off the scheduled updates and did an "Install Now". Boom-6.8 install competed in 15 minutes. I think I'll keep the install schedule off so I have a little more control of when the truck installs the inhibited updates.

No one can tell for sure just by looking at that. I would need your VIN to see if your OTA history shows any useful info.

Early 2023 by the version number guesstimate on 4.x.x or somewhere around there and it will update eventually when Ford gets around to it.


No luck for me from the OTA gods this week. Still waiting for my VIN number to come up in the lottery for 6.8.0

Still waiting for this one. Based on other members experience I expected it by now. When it seems there is a pattern to Ford OTA process they do something different. ?

I can update with FDRS, but I don't want to give Ford any money if this update will successfully install.

We're in the same boat, I remember us both getting 6.4.0/6.5.0 in quick succession around the same time (mid-December). I had 2 phantom update notifications late December that got my hopes up.
