I was playing around and set adaptive/lane assist and bam, hands free. That was new to me. I wonder if I got an update because my BlueCruise now works on side roads, etc. Before, it was just certain highways.

I haven't driven mine enough yet to tell, and I usually keep lane assist off anyway. It annoys me. This update is for the instrument panel, so it is very possible that you'll notice some differences.I could be wrong but I think 6.8 gave me these lane change “brackets” that come on when turning the signal light on with the lane centering engaged. I have bluecruise but it’s not active as I don’t have roads mapped around me and my truck isn’t quite programmed for it to work. I don’t use the lane centering often so maybe it’s always been like this?
Green lines/brackets have always been there. It is just green when it can see the lines on road for lane centering. When you turn on signal it will stop caring about that side and not nag and fight you drifting over line.I could be wrong but I think 6.8 gave me these lane change “brackets” that come on when turning the signal light on with the lane centering engaged. Was your truck still drivable?A PMI of the IPC seems to have fixed the problem. IPC is no longer showing in FDRS and the file names on the 2 locations updated match the file names PTS says are in the update. Thank you @Jesse-Infotainment for the advice. That was a lot less painful than I thought it would be.
I got this message when FDRS tried to verify the install. FDRS confirmed the files didn't install. The truck drove fine, but I was getting weird messages in the IPC about valet zone speeds and asking if I wanted to turn in lane change assist, but wouldn't let me select yes or no. After the PMI, FDRS showed both files updated and everything went back to normal. Was your truck still drivable?
Trying to understand what happened.
Gotcha. I don’t use that function often so it looked differentGreen lines/brackets have always been there. It is just green when it can see the lines on road for lane centering. When you turn on signal it will stop caring about that side and not nag and fight you drifting over line.
So do the OTA updates come with triggers that perform additional steps that FFRS does not do when updating manually? Seems like FDRD should have installation notes that suggest additional steps required after the update is completed.A PMI of the IPC seems to have fixed the problem. Nah, with OTAs all you can do is make sure your battery is well charged. With FDRS, sometimes, things happen when programing a module just like things can happen during an OTA that will prevent it from going through, or a partial installed causing a rollback to the previous software. So do the OTA updates come with triggers that perform additional steps that FFRS does not do when updating manually? The suspense is killing me!Went out to my truck, my number isn't up yet for 6.8.0 so the wait continues. Last update was 12/15 so I still expect it before end of month based on what others have posted. Looking forward to seeing a successful OTA for once.![]()
Just keep in mind we have several updates to go before the next Bluecruise version so these updates don't mean much. The suspense is killing me!
There is still time for FORD to give all us F150 Job 1 truck a christmas present .... 7.0 but only 3 hours left ford !As soon as they become available for me. There is some intel going around the Mach E forums that the roll-out of 7.0.0 has been put on hold. Nothing official from Ford, but that's the rumor based on inside info.
My vote Q1 2024. Maybe end of January. There is still time for FORD to give all us F150 Job 1 truck a christmas present .... 7.0 but only 3 hours left ford !
