If it is telling you to put your hands on the wheel then you are not Bluecruise (hands free). You are using "lane centering."

Thanks. So when the dash says ”Bluecruise available, press (adaptive cruise) button to activate” and I do, it goes to Hands Free Bluecruise if available, otherwise it goes to “Lane Centerimg only”. Correct? Seems odd that it says Bluecruise available and when I press the button, it only goes to lane centering..

Your truck would have BC if it is saying it’s available. However, BC requires a subscription to have it activated. Since you say you have a 21, although your profile indicates a 2023, the BC trial period has expired as of Dec. 31, 2023, for 2021 trucks. Here is a photo of the dash with BC enabled.

I do get the message that Bluecruise is available and I do get the steer8ng wheel, but it does not state “hands free”, but my software level says “Hands Free available until 2073”. Any advice?

For those of us without adaptive cruise, blue or otherwise, try this for fun…get in front of a fancy car that you suspect has ACC and gradually slow down. See how slow you can get before they realize you are now in charge of their gas pedal ?

That expiration date is normal. Eventually you will get an update that will show the correct one there.
