I done this before on my Ridgeline. Now with more experience I am able to do this on the F150 STX base seats. I already added Heat.

Now cooling. Switch will be added soon. But first I need to add fans under the butt as well 2 more

I am using these for dispersing air through the seat.

Hmm, can you share more about your seats?

More is coming. This is just a beginning of the project. But both front seats will have 4 fans. 2 for the back and 2 for the butt and they will be very cold. There are other air distribution channel and special air foam I added you dont see yet in the pics above.

Here is videos of what I have done in a 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Now sold.
Pictures as well

Have to say I like it... Good work, good write up and special thanks for the direct links.
Nothing like clicking those cooling seats on a hot summers day.

probably work better than factory. wondering now if I can change the fans on my platty and use the oem wires. Cooled seats is one thing I really miss from my Cadillac

I'm curious if it would be possible to use the factory turn on wire from the climate control unit to run this thing.

How noisy are they? Is the factory seat cooler four fans? I've never heard a factory one run before.

factory seat cooler is like one squirrel caged fan that does little except hint at moving air

Ford Foam is like the thinnest least supportive foam I ever touched. So I ordered OEM foam from dealer just in case for this project and cut a proper hole. Then added more foam on top specifically designed to let air through.

Nice work. I researched the %$# out of cooled seats last week shopping for my dad a minivan, and it turns out minivans still make-do with "ventilated"-only seats, even in the highest trims. I had forgotten that actual "cooled seats" were a big reason for my F150 (Lariat mid, I think). (They are loud and as someone said above, only 'hint' at coolness, but it's still cooler than ambient air, and we felt a big difference getting back into the cooled F150 between test driving a bunch of "ventilated"-only seats at 100 degrees.

In the process of my research I came across DIY write-up, which was on a Tacoma. There may not be the under-feet AC vents to tap into like in the Taco, but may generate ideas for those following htis thread.
